A few minutes after Thomas called the ambulance, Jack returns from his lunch to see Thomas and a half undressed Nikki on the floor as he notices her jeans and underwear crumpled up on the floor at the side of her and her holding a tiny baby, both covered by a grey blanket he recognises was from Thomas's office sofa.
"Holy shit! What did I miss!" He exclaims in shock as he rushes over to Nikki.
"Nikki gave birth." Thomas smiles. "To a little baby girl."
"But-but she wasn't pregnant." Jack stutters in shock.
"I'll leave you two to it." Thomas says, getting back up and walking back to his office.
Nikki smiles tiredly at Thomas then to Jack.
"Is she mine." Jack questions.
"Of course she's yours! You're the only person I've been with in the last 9 months." Nikki replies, harshly but sounding hurt too. "Why do people keep asking me that. First Thomas, now you."
Jack smiles softly as he remembers the passionate night him and Nikki first shared last November then the rest of the other nights and kisses Nikki on the forehead. "I'm sorry."
"No I'm sorry I shouldn't of snapped like that. I'm just so exhausted! I mean this is not how I planned today to go like." Nikki sighs, as she looks down at the sleeping baby on her chest.
She looks back up to Jack, with tears forming in her eyes.
"I don't know what I'm doing. I'm not prepared. What if I'm shit at this?" Nikki sobs, drowsy.
"You're doing well at the moment." Jack reassures, kissing Nikki on the forehead and wiping her tears with his thumb.
Clarissa returns minutes after Jack.
"What in actual living hell have I missed."
"Nikki had a baby." Jack beams, "A little girl, and she's mine!"
"Great! I leave for not even an hour and Nikki gives birth to Jack's baby that she didn't even know she was pregnant with." Clarissa scoffs.
Nikki chuckles, weakly as Clarissa wheels her way to Nikki.
"Aww she's precious, Nikki. Well done." She smiles. "But she's got Jack's nose."
"Hey. What's wrong with my nose?" Jack frowns, rolling his eyes.
Both Nikki and Clarissa chuckle softly as Thomas walks back to them.
"Ambulance is here, Nikki." He says as he walks to let them in.
