Kimora POV

I groan as the sun blinds my opening lids. I turn to the side of my bed that is shielded from the harsh rays of the rising star. I notice a warm feeling between my legs and I sit up abruptly. No no. My period isn't supposed to come until Wednesday. I have a presentation in my history class today and cramps are not what I need right now. I get up from my bed and strip the mattress of the sheets. I might as well do laundry as I'm washing these sheets. I scroll through my phone and Instagram trying to see what I missed out on as I slept. Hmm Diana's engaged and has a baby on the way..

I swear I'm getting old. We just graduated high school and people are already getting married and having kids.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I get a text. A smile spreads across my face when I read Jacques' message.

Good morning, beautiful. What are your plans for today? Would love to take you out or stay in.

I text him back and move to the kitchen to make some toast and a cup of coffee. Lord knows I need it.

"Botticelli's paintings gained him recognition all throughout Europe.  Many prominent figures at the time, like Lorenzo de Medici and Pope Sisto the Fourth, approached him for paintings. His influence and creativity made him one of the best painters during this period," I finish.

Claps are heard throughout the room. I don't know if it was because my presentation was good or because it was the last one of the day. Either way, I'll take it as a win.

I walk back to my seat to collect my stuff. My cramps have worsened throughout the day and I want nothing more than to sleep the rest of the day.

"See ya later girls," Christina says.

"Bye," I wave.

Temi stays behind since we're both taking the metro. "I just don't understand why she wouldn't make it clear the first time we went on a date. And she can't even act like she didn't know it was a date, we literally were at a fancy restaurant. I'm just tired of being played, Mora."

"I feel you girl. Don't even give her another thought. I'm sure you got girls wanting to take you out." Christina. I don't miss the glances that she makes at Temi when we're in class. Or the pain on her face when she hears Temi talk about a date. It's not my place to tell Temi, but they have been besties for years. There's no way Temi doesn't know.

"I have no hoes, I'm telling you. I feel like everyone just wants a one-night stand but I want a relationship."

I link my arms with hers and smile at her. "The right person will come eventually. Right now focus on being Temi, 'cause you're one of the coolest people I know."

"I love you. You know that Mora."

"How could you not? I'm funny, sexy, smart, did I mention sexy?"

She laughs and I join her.

When I walk back into the apartment, I notice how oddly quiet it is. I would check the girls' rooms but I'm fighting to stand right now. I strip off my clothes and take a long, hot shower. As I'm stepping out, I notice my phone buzzing. I pick up when I see Jacques calling.

"Hey," I answer.

"Hey, you feeling better now? We can postpone till you feel better," he says.

"Yeah, I'm good. You can come over as long as you bring food. I'll find something for us to watch."
