Kimora POV

"You did what?!" Ti and Mani yell.

"Why are y'all acting like this? It's a new city, so it's time for me to switch up my game." I explain. 

They turn to each other then look back at me. 

"I'm simply respecting the hustle girl. ATL Kimora wouldn't have pulled something like this, but I'm glad French Kimora is getting out of her shell." Tiana says.

Kheumani nods her head in agreement. 

"This calls for a shopping trip," she says.

I start laughing. 

"We just went shopping." I deadpan. "My wallet is crying. No more shopping for at least a month."

"Ugh. You're no fun." Mani responds.

We're in the backroom of Merin, waiting for Laurel to give us a tour. 

A knock sounds and the three of us straighten up as Laurel enters.

"Bonjour, bienvenue à Merin! I'm so glad that you three have decided to work with us this fall," she says. "Here at Merin we pride ourselves on diversity and creativity. Today, we will start with a tour of the agency and introduce you to some of the models that you girls will be working with. If you'll follow me." (Hello, welcome to Merin!)

Laurel showed us around the agency and introduced us to some of the models. Everyone is nice so far and interning here seems like it will be eventful. 

"Ouais, ouais..... je devrai parler avec Francois...Parce que, je suis occupé sur samedi. Ouais, c'est très importante."  (Yes, yes..... I will have to talk to Francois. Because I'm busy on Saturday. Yes, it's very important.)

I hear a familiar voice get closer and closer. I turn and come face to face with Jacques. He smiles at us and hangs up the phone. 

"Oh ladies! Another one of the models that I wanted to introduce you to. Ladies, this is Jacques Toussaint. Jacques, this is Kheumani, Tiana, and Kimora. These beautiful ladies will be interning here for the next couple of months" Laurel says.

"Bienvenue à Merin. I hope you ladies enjoy working here." Jacques says.

"D'accord. A bientôt, Jacques." Laurel says as she, Tiana, and Kheumani start to walk off. (Okay. See you later, Jacques.)

"I thought I would see you Saturday, but I'm pleased to know that I'll be seeing a lot more of your pretty face," Jacques flirts.

My face gets hot as I try not to smile at his words. He's such a flirt, I think.

The side of his mouth tilts up in a smirk as he notices my shyness.

"Aww, Kimora baby. Are you shy? Where's that energy from the Thai restaurant? I like that side of you." 

"I'll see you on Saturday, Jacques." I rush out as I see Laurel and the girls turn a corner.

"A bientôt, ma chérie." (See you later, my dear.)

As Laurel finishes the tour, we spot Henri and Alejandro and smile at them.

"Okay, ladies any questions?" Laurel asks.

We shake our heads.

"That's the end of the tour, see you next Monday! Au revoir." (Goodbye.)

"Au revoir." We respond in unison.  

She walks off as Alejandro and Henri meet us. 

"Hey, how have you ladies been?" Alejandro asks.

"Good, what about you two?" Tiana asks.

"Great, just finished two gigs last week. So I'll be in France for the next two months." Henri says.

"Yea, I just came back from a Versace show in Italy. It was an amazing experience." Alejandro adds.

"That's great. Have you worked with Versace before?" Kheumani asks. "I love their bags, but don't know much about their clothes."

"Yea, this is my second time. Their clothes are great, but not really my style. They had me in a pink suit and leopard leggings." He laughs.

We laugh, thinking about Alejandro in that outfit. 

"We're actually interning at Merin for the next couple of months. So you'll both be seeing a lot of us. We should hang out sometime next week and watch a movie or something." I recommend.

"Yea." Everyone agrees. 

"We'll text you." I say.

"Okay, au revoir ladies."

"Au revoir."
