Briar Madison
Senior year, I never knew that I would actually make it this far. I have worked hard enough to, there is no doubt about that, I just never knew that this would truly be my reality. I have had a rough few years, but now I am finally ready to make something of my present.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
I swiftly get up out of bed, turning my alarm clock off in the process. Venturing briskly to my closet, I look through my options before smiling at what my mind is concocting for the outfit of the day.
Without taking a second glance, I pull out my white, laced crop tank top, along with a black cardigan that comes a little longer than my waist. I then grab my light wash mom jeans, throwing the whole outfit on my bed.
Quickly I run into the bathroom that is connected to the inside of my bedroom and shower myself as fast as I can before jumping out and drying off. Throwing on my outfit, I rush back into the bathroom and blow dry my hair thoroughly. Once I'm done, I do some light eyeliner and a little bit of a pink tint on my lips.
"Briar, breakfast is ready!" I hear a familiar voice yell out to me from downstairs. I smile lightly before finishing up what I was doing. I take a minute to look over my features. I have silky black hair that flows down to my waist and it frames my face perfectly. My cheekbones are pretty strong, along with my jawline, but I have a button nose that doesn't really fit those features. I'm about 5' 6" with a slim waist and toned stomach due to my extensive workout habits, my caramel skin complementing my frame. I wouldn't say that I have the biggest boobs, but they're also not small, falling at a 36 C. My blue eyes stare back at me for a second before I decide that it's time to go downstairs and eat.
Finally finished, I grab my school stuff from my room and bolt downstairs, the smell of eggs, toast and bacon filling my nostrils. I round the corner as fast as a race car driver would in NASCAR, almost biffing it as I did so.
My father's eyes look up and they shine brightly once he sees me.
"There you are, I thought you might be skipping my wonderful meal that I made just for you." A twinkle in his eyes as he pretends to give me a hard time.
My jaw drops theatrically. "And deprive myself of the one thing that I find to be perfectly balanced in this world? Good sir I have never been more insulted in my life!"
He chuckles lightly. "Your majesty, I apologize most ardently. I should not have assumed."
I cross my arms over my chest. "I would hope so."
A minute passes between us before we start belly laughing.
"I do love our banters in the morning. Thank you for breakfast Dad." I say as I sit down before smiling up at him brightly.
"Of course my sweet daughter." He smiles at me. Clapping his hands together once, he says, "Now, today is your senior year, how do you feel?"
I swallow the bite I took before responding. "I actually feel ready. I'm excited to see what happens this year."
He nods his head. "I have a feeling it will definitely be eventful."
"You may be right, now I gotta run or I'm going to be late. I love you Dad." I kiss him on the cheek before running to the door and throwing on my shoes.
"I love you too, drive safe!" He yells back at me.
I smile at him. "I will, see you later."
He waves at me before I close the door and walk out to my car.
It's nothing special, but I know that I am incredibly lucky to even have one. This little guy is my pride and joy. It's a 1987 325is BMW that's been in my family for a while now. My mom owned this before me, and now it's been passed down to me.
