Echoes of silence

Chapter 6

I woke up at 9:00 and dressed up to go to the grocery store since I have to buy Loki's food and other groceries. I took the bus and soon reached the grocery store. I started buying snacks for myself and other things, soon I went to the counter to pay.

I saw a trolley which I move aside thinking someone might have accidentally left it there. I was waiting in line when I saw a packet of M&MS and decided to buy it. I went toward the place where the M&MS was kept and pick up the packet.

I returned to the counter and saw someone clutching my trolley and almost handing his card to the cashier."Wait, is he paying for me?"I asked myself in confusion.

"Hey, that's my trolley," I yelled to which he looked behind puzzled making me surprised to see a familiar face. The PTM meeting dude, the angry PTM meeting dude. I narrowed my eyes as he almost had the same reaction.

I strode towards him in anger and hold the end of the trolley. I pushed the trolley toward me while he did the same."What are you doing?" he inquired to which I answered back "Well I should be the one asking you that since you are the one holding my trolley."

"What? Are you crazy?" he spoke making me furious. I glared at him and said really politely "Sir, I think you are the one who is crazy. Now, please leave my trolley as I don't have the whole day to argue with you," knowing I have nothing to do the whole day.

"Excuse me, can you both fight outside the queue?"I heard the cashier say to which I glared at him and then at the guy standing in front of me who was busy staring at the things in my trolley. His eyes were fixed on the dog food. "Does he want to eat dog food or what?" I asked myself in a low voice.

"Hey, are you leaving it or not?"I asked him again to which he left the trolley looking awkward. He looked at me and then roll his eyes and left. I looked at him leaving from the counter section confused and then handed the cashier some cash. I left the grocery store after checking whether I have bought everything I needed.

"Sir, I think you are the one who's crazy. Now, please leave my trolley as I don't have the whole day to argue with you," the girl replied to me when I called her crazy while I was busy glancing at the trolley which we both were holding.

"Excuse me, can you both fight outside the queue?"I heard the cashier say but I was too busy processing everything. I realized that the trolley contained dog food and many other things that we didn't put in it making me acknowledge that the teacher was right and that the trolley was actually not ours thus making me feel awkward.

I left the handle of the trolley that I was holding and left the location before looking at her and rolling my eyes without saying anything.

I walked towards the freezer section to find Lily so that we could quickly go home. I found her holding tubs of ice cream of every flavor as I buried my head in my head. Soon, we were done with shopping and left the grocery store.
