"Father... please don't do this..." Xiu Hua begged her father sadly as he smiled at her.
"I have to, Xiu Hua. I am bound by honor to do so."
"Father, screw honor. I don't want you to..." Xiu Hua started, but she did not want to finish the sentence as she felt that it would jinx her father.
"..." Lingyun looked at her confused before he looked at Sejuani
"What? Yea I may sound like that... but I do agree with snowflake, Lingyun. They've messed up your life enough as it is. Snowflake is alive and well. You don't need to feel obligated to fighting your brother..." Sejuani told him worriedly and he looked down, deep in thought.
"I love you both... But what's to stop them from doing something like this again? I have no choice..." Lingyun told Sejuani and his daughter sadly.
"Father..." Xiu Hua started sadly as she went to hug him.
"Lingyun... Please come back to us..." Sejuani somewhat begged him as she knew that he had made up his mind, and there was no point in persuading him otherwise.
"I will. I've had a week to spend with you both. I've enjoyed it dearly. For now, I must fight." Lingyun told them in a calm voice as they embraced tightly, and they headed to the public tournament ring where the fateful fight would take place.
"So you've made it..." Yuan Kang spoke in a nonchalant voice as Lingyun went to the stage, and there were many in the audience watching. The champions were here for Lingyun as well, and they wished him luck.
"Of course." Lingyun spoke in a content tone as he observed his surroundings from behind his blindfold, and he sensed Diao Jin nearby.
"Father and Mother aren't here?"
"They aren't worth your time. Plus, you're going to die here anyways..." Yuan Kang spoke as he strapped his royal Lamellar armor on tightly, and he summoned a fearsome Dao blade.
"..." Lingyun had a content face as he wore his robes which showed off his shoulders, forearms, and his sides. Lingyun summoned his armaments and after he dispersed the blue flames, he was ready to fight as he took a stance.
"Going barehanded? You must be a fool..." Yuan Kang spoke in a conceited and sharp tone.
"Maybe I am a fool... But I won't know that for sure till we fight it out..." Lingyun replied with a content expression.
"DIE YOU INSOLENT FOOL!" Yuan Kang yelled as he charged at Lingyun with surprising speed.
"!" Yuan Kang was shocked when Lingyun caught his blow...
