Amy was still sitting in jail for what we still don't know. All that anyone can seem to figure out is that she took something that was part of a police investigation. With all this information we figured that Amy might have gone into hiding. She was in contact with Rose.
Rose escaped from police custody, and had not been seen since that night. Dawson had been trying to help locate her, but just like everyone else he had zero luck. The one place no one thought to look was the hotel. The hotel had been searched from top to bottom, there was no sign of her. There was a small room in the corner of the office that led to a series of tunnels. Rose was good at what she did, making everyone look for the clues into her escape plan, only to be several steps ahead of us.
The cops wanted to search Rose's room, when they opened the door they found out that everything had been cleaned out. Amy left a note saying you need to stop looking in all the high places. I stepped outside for a few minutes when my phone rang. It was a private investigator wanting to meet me at a local coffee house to talk. I pulled Dylan aside to let him know that the PI had called me to talk. Not saying anything I just got in my car and left. I pulled up to the coffee with questions in my head, and nerves in my stomach.
"Mr. Madison, how are you?" I said sitting down.
"Stella, I am good. Thank you for meeting with me," he said.
"Were you able to find the information that I asked you about?" I said.
"Yes, I got the information you asked me. Here is the folder on your mom," he said.
"Thank you, was it hard to find?" I asked.
"No, she never stays in one spot for too long," Mr. Madison said.
Yes, she never can seem to stay in one place for too long," I said.
I said my goodbye and went on my way. This file was gonna help track down Rose the best way we knew how. This was the only way we were going to find her out. A cop was at the house when I got back. Dylan was sitting in the backseat of a cop car. I asked to talk with a cop about what was going on. That is when I found out Amy was trying to frame Dylan for Rose escaping from jail and cleaning out the hotel room. Dylan was able to be released after promising to turn his mom in if she contacts him. Dylan could not understand why Amy would have framed him.
"At least you're not getting arrested for murder," Selena joked.
"It is not funny," Dylan said.
"Let's hope we can find both our parents before it is too late," I said.
"What did you find out from the PI?" Dylan asked.
"He gave me a folder of all the places that Rose could be hiding out in," I said.
"Where do you want to start with all this information?" Dylan asked.
"Let's check the tunnels in the hotel. If anything they might give us clues about
where to look next," I said.
Selena, Dylan and I gathered up our gear and off to explore the tunnels in the hotel. Dawson said he could keep the girls safe until we got back. I knew I could trust Dawson with them. We went through the office, to the back room, through that door, to head straight down to the tunnels. As we headed down the first few steps before touching flat ground I felt like something was off. That was something that we were missing. I looked down on the ground to find a piece of paper about 15 feet in front of me. It was from Amy, forty steps until we reached the right. Must have been left behind when they headed out.
We followed the forty steps and came across a room. This was the room that Rose stayed in. I knew I was on the right track to find her, my only hope was that it would be soon before anything happened. Once we got into the room, there was another note. 100 feet until the drop down then 10 feet to the hill. Once you get up the hill, walk 40 more feet to the next camp site. It was in Amy's handwriting, maybe she was trying to get us to follow so we can save her. That or she was making it to where we would all be trapped down here forever.
