After a few seconds of bakugou not knowing what to do with izuku sobbing in the middle of his backyard. He slowly stepped closer to him and crouched down beside him, he hesitated in touching him but he placed his hand on his back and started rubbing small circles into his upper back.

He switched to kneeling next to him and continued like this for a minute before debating if this was helping or not, he decided to stop and go get his mom, she probably wouldn't do much better than him but she was an adult and she must know something.

But the moment he lifted his hand, before he had even straightened out his legs he felt something latch around his wrist and pull him back down to his knees. His first immediate instinct was to use his quirk to get away but as he looked to his hand he saw that izuku had grabbed his wrist, "p-please don't leave..." he practically begged.

The mix of such a sad voice, the teary puffy eyes, and just the look he gave was frankly adorable, if that wasn't the cutest thing Bakugou had ever seen he would be a god damned liar. He quickly looked away because he refused to let Izuku see his expression. "Fine. I'll stay." He said while trying to sound annoyed.

It didn't work well, but Izuku didn't notice.

"W-was that o-ok?"

Bakugou looked confused. "Was what ok? Grabbing my hand? It's fine."

Izuku took a shallow breath and went to speak but couldn't get the words out as another wave of sadness crashed into him, he leaned forwards and wrapped his arms around the startled bakugou, he then asked him with a clear shake in his tone. "N-no... K-killing you?"

He sighed lightly. "You didn't kill me, I'm right here."

He looked up at him with desperation in his eyes. "B-but I did! I killed you and I feel terrible!"

"What else would you have done?!"

"I-I would have-"

Bakugou snapped at him. "You would have made mom take care of two of me for the rest of her life?! You would have locked him away in your room? What else could you have done without causing something worse?!"

"I... my mom could have... you..." he suddenly slumped back into bakugou's shoulder and began to cry once more.

Bakugou sighed sadly. "God damn it deku. It's your power. If you want to be a hero you can't worry about it! Dad told me quirks are like tools, you use tools, tools don't use you, if one breaks you toss it aside, and if it doesn't do what you want then you replace it! If you don't do that you will never be a hero like allmight!"

He pushed Izuku away and looked into his eyes. "You still want to be my sidekick right?" Izuku gave him a small nod, "then you have to keep up! Make another copy of me right now and I guarantee he will be fine with being the clone! If you won't use your quirk then let me use it! I'll show you how it's done, so just listen to me deku!"

Izuku's eyes widened and he immediately went to protest but the fire in Bakugou's eyes left no room for refusal. "Do. It. I'll use your power until you can!"

Izuku nodded and sniffed before wiping his eyes with his dirty sleeves. "O-ok..." he slowly reaches for his notebook but bakugou grabbed it first and looked at it for a moment before gently handing it to him, izuku took another moment to wipe his eyes and opened it, he flipped through the pages of random items he had measured until he found bakugou's page.

It took far longer for Izuku to remember the numbers than usual because of the simple fact that Izuku was still crying, he had to keep wiping the tears from his eyes because it hindered his vision, his tears splashed on the page and blurred his writing but it was luckily still legible. He was also worried about Bakugou yelling at him but he was being strangely patient and calm with him.
