Ch16

Izuku sat at his desk, shaking like a leaf when an image of Allmight suddenly appeared and nearly gave him a heart attack, memories of the sludge villain  immediately flooding his brain, but those thoughts immediately left his mind the moment the number one hero practically blurted out his score without warning while seeming to completely skim over what he was actually supposed to say in favor of something that was way more exciting.

"YOU HAVE SCORED SIXTY THREE VILLAIN POINTS AND A STAGGERING ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN RESCUE POINTS! ME AND UA HIGHSCHOOL ARE INCREDIBLY IMPRESSED WITH YOUR- ER.... WAIT NO... YES! YOUR QUICK THINKING AND YOUR EFFECTIVENESS IN THIS COMBAT SCENARIO!" Allmight said proudly, only pausing because he was uncertain about whether he should praise him or his quirk before realizing it was effectively the same.

Izuku's brain sort of stopped working after that. Far too shocked by the sudden shouting from the number one hero, his confusion about why allmight was telling him his score for UA's exam, why he was so excited to tell him. and what rescue points even where.

He still heard the man talk about him having a staff or something, but it was all just background noise as his brain barely comprehend what he had just heard.

"Rescue... points...? That... wasn't on the pamphlet... you got points for... helping people...?" He croaked out, barely even looking at the projection anymore.

He had no idea his clones were even helping that much... he remembered shoving a kid out of the way of a robotic punch... and getting that younger guy out from under a robot he beat... and the-

Oh....

Ok... he might have helped some people on his own but to get over a hundred points for each copy doing similar things?!?! He didn't even seen one person on the scoreboard get over fifty rescue points when his number one hero showed it with dramatic hand gestures. Placing him firmly in first place.

He shook his head in disbelief, unwilling to even entertain that as a possibility, while quickly doing the math in his head. "One-Hundred... seventy-four... points? I don't even... I can't...... how did I... there must be....?"

He continued stuttering himself and tuned back in just in time to hear all might say one last thing.

"-WELCOME TO YOUR HERO ACADEMIA!"

The screen then promptly shut off, leaving him in the darkness of his room, and completely alone in his thoughts as they swirled and mixed together in his confusion.

He stared at the wall for what felt like hours but what could have only been a couple of minutes before his phone rang in his pocket, his allmight ringtone showing him out of his stupor.

He slowly pulled it out and answered it without even realizing he was doing it. He was almost surprised to find his phone next to his ear when he suddenly heard an ear piercing shout followed by the voices of kirishima and uraraka.

"DEKU YOU PEACE OF SHIT!!!" Bakugou screeched.

Kirishima promptly gasped dramatically. "Hey! Don't yell at izuku! So not manly!"

Then an excited shout from uraraka that sounded far away. "I got in! oh my god this is the best day of my life!"

He pulled the phone away from his ear to process everything and hesitantly spoke to his friends. "W-wha-"

"DEKU YOU CHEATING SHIT!" Bakugou angrily repeated.

"Wait, did we all get in?" Came the confused tone of kirishima.

Then ururaka spoke up slightly closer to the phone. "Oh my god... I can finally help my parents!  I just c-can't... this is the best d-day of my LIFE..."
