Ryuu was never one to have nightmare. Though she often have trouble sleeping, once she's asleep, she's out like the light with not a single thought or dream on her mind but that particular day was messing up with her.
It was a super tiring day for her as she had went to different places for work purposes. She left home at 2 in the morning and only get to arrive home at 12 in the morning the next day. She was hungry, tired and sleepy but out of the three, she's leaning more towards sleepy so she took a nice warm bath to loosen up her tense muscles and went straight to sleep in her bed.
She fell asleep at exactly 1 in the morning but 30 minutes later, she woke up with cold sweats on her forehead and neck. Her breathing was labored and tears fell out of her eyes like river. Without thinking much, she grabbed the phone that's sitting on the night stand and calls Yoongi. Her hands are trembling as she couldn't believe what just happened.
The call was answered by Yoongi and the second she heard his voice saying hello, she began sobbing violently. Yoongi, who was originally barely awake is now on full alert. "Ryuu? Are you crying? What happened? Are you okay?"
Even though his voice is calm, he can't lie and says that he's not worried. He even got out of bed, ready to get the car and goes to Ryuu if it's needed. "Ryuu. Talk to me. What's wrong?" Ryuu took a deep breath, "I had a nightmare and I'm scared. It felt so real. And.. I was just standing there watching it happen and everything happened so fast that—"
Yoongi couldn't understand anything she tried to say as she was talking too fast and with her crying, it just sounded like she was mumbling the words. "I need you to calm down first, Ryuna. Listen to my voice and calm down. I'm here for you and with you." She lets out a deep breath. "Take a deep breath and exhale. Do it slowly. I'm here so don't panic. I'm here." Ryuu followed his instructions one by one and eventually calm down.
"Are you feeling better?"
"Mm hmm."
"Good. Now, do you mind telling me what happened?"
She closed her eyes as the images of Yoongi being unalived in her dream flashed over her eyes once again. It was enough to scare her that she won't be able to go back to sleep. "I'm scared. I need to meet you right now. Please." Her voice is desperate and Yoongi doesn't trust her to drive all the way to his place when she's shaking and all so he went to his car, still in his pajamas and heading to her place after ending the call.
15 minutes later, he arrived at her place. The second Ryuu opened the door, she rushed to engulf him in a tight hug as if he would slip from between her grasp and disappear. The tears came back again as the realization hits her that he's still alive and breathing. "It's okay. I'm here. I'm really here." Without saying much, he wrapped his arms around her and gently pat her back to calm her down. It did wonders as Ryuu found herself calming down almost instantly.
"Let's get inside, shall we? I'm happy that you miss me that much but it's freezing out here, Ryuu." Ryuu broke apart from the hug and took a step back. She wiped her tears harshly with the sleeve of her shirt as she stepped aside to let Yoongi into her warm house. She closed the door. Yoongi had already made his way to the kitchen to fix Ryuu a cup of chamomile tea as if it was his house and not Ryuu's.
Ryuu sighed, "I should be the one making drinks for you, not the other way around." Yoongi scoffed playfully. "And risk you hurting yourself because of your swollen eyes? Yeah, no. Jin hyung would beat me up if he found out in the military that his princess got hurt." Ryuu rubbed her arm in shame while her teeth sank into her plush lips, all swollen from crying. It was also red from the constant biting that she had done all the while she's crying.
She sat down in the kitchen. Yoongi had placed the tea in front of her. "Drink it and go back to bed. It was just a bad dream. Think nothing of it." She really didn't want to think of it but it scarred her. It was her biggest fear. Losing the people she loves has always been her biggest fear and just dreaming about it sent chills down her spine. Ryuu said nothing but it speaks louder than anything. Sighing, Yoongi handed Ryuu a box of chocolates that he had bought on the way to her house.
"Have you eaten dinner yet? Are you hungry?" Feeling slightly ashamed, she nodded her head. Chuckling, Yoongi gets off the stool and made his way to prepare Ryuu a simple supper as it was getting pretty late. With his presence around her, the suffocating feeling slowly goes away and she finally felt at peace again.
Without her realizing, her eyelids gently felt heavier and not a minute later, she fell asleep as Yoongi cooks for her. He heard a thud and whipped his head around to find the source of the noise. Soon, a smile curved up on his lips at the sight of the woman sleeping soundly once again. He took his phone out from his pocket and snap a few pictures of Ryuu sleeping before sending it to Jungkook just to rile him up a little bit.
The thing is about Jungkook, he's not jealous of Ryuu being with the other members because at this point, they're practically family. However, on some rare occasion, he does get a little bitter and it's always fun to tease the maknae about it. Putting his phone down, he scoops Ryuu up into his arms and brought her into her room before tucking her back in bed.
He sighed in relief as he left a soft peck on her forehead and once he's sure she's deep in her sleep, he went back to the kitchen to clean up and finally left the house after cooking and cleaning. He left a note to her on the container of food containing breakfasts that he had prepared for her, knowing that she often skips her breakfast because she's lazy.
On the note, it's written:
"It was all just a nightmare, Ryuu and most nightmares don't come true so rest assure that I'll always be here for you until you're grey and old. I left some food for you so make sure you eat it in the morning and send a picture of you once you finishes it. I need proof to make sure you're eating well. By the way, I love you kid."
