We had been recently told about a competition in ICT and the winner would get a prize of some sort. We were segregated into teams of four which was perfect as It would be me, Tara and Elle against everyone else. We were the dream team!
Unstoppable.

We were a week into the competition and we were already 20 points above second place, which meant we were in first.
The teacher had announced that this lesson was different however as she was changing the usual points per answer, 10 for first place, to triple the amount. This would change the score board dramatically and put us in danger of losing. We could lose to the rest of the class!

She had gave each teams sheet of codes they had to de-bunk and we had divided it to two per person. I had finished mine as I picked the easy ones and was sat waiting for the rest of my team to finish theirs. I felt a tap from the side of me and it was Nick. "Can you help me with this one?" He whispered as he pointed to the one I had just finished. I looked towards the rest of my team and Elle nodded towards me, allowing me to help him.

"Okay so the key word is 'key' so you find the number that correlates to that letter." I looked at him to find that he looked even more confused that he was before. "What?" He asked and looked back to the sheet. "K equals 11. Now count 11 from K." I say as I guide him down the alphabet he had drawn on the back of his sheet. The rest of his friends had stopped to look at us now and when I had looked to see them watching they snapped back into solving their own problems in front of them.

"I'm still confused." Nick admits as he guides my eyes back down to the sheet. This time however I couldn't see the question as his finger was in the way and I gently moved it with my pointer and thumb. I then looked up to see a red blush over his face and smiled at him. I continued to explain the question to him as he tried to stay focused.

We later on won the competition, and was now 50 points ahead of the rest of the competitors. We celebrated via a group hug which was rather short as we had to get to our next lessons.
