Elizabeth's POV:
After dropping off Ryan at his school, I and Zack sat in the car. Turns out Zack can drive, which was kinda surprising to me.
"Don't worry. When we get to school, just stay close to me. A lot of people will look at us, but pay no attention to them. Also, school isn't a happy place. Some people will try to say rude things to you, but just come to me when they do, okay?" Zack says while his eyes stayed on the road.
"You don't have to explain all this, Zacky. Levi already told me, and from the books I read on Wattpad, I know how high school works," I said to him.
With a nod, he let out a breath before saying, "I have some friends at school. Like, we are 5. You're gonna love them, except Austin; he doesn't like people," he says.
Nodding my head, I gave him a thumbs-up before looking ahead.
"REDWOODS HIGH SCHOOL," I mumbled, looking at the school building.
"Wow," I whispered. I had no idea it would be this big. You could see some students around their cars, some laughing, some playing with their phones, and some running into the school, not wanting to miss their classes.
Zack parked the car and then turned to me. "If anyone asks who you are, just say you're my sister, and you have been living with our grandparents; that's why you were hardly around. Okay?" he says softly.
Nodding my head, I smiled before looking outside the window.
Then I noticed four guys walking towards our car. I looked back at Zack, who laughed at the face I was giving.
"Those are my friends," he mumbled before getting out of the car. With a little breath, I followed him and got out.
Zack walked over to his friends; they did this handshake stuff and then started laughing about something.
My head went low, avoiding every eye contact coming my way.
"Who is the chick?" I heard one of Zack's friends say.
My brother turned to me, then smiled before grabbing my arms. "Guys, this is Elizabeth, my sister that I told you guys about," Zack said proudly.
"Hey," I whispered, feeling shy all of a sudden. I mean, who wouldn't be when five hot guys are around you?
The group mumbled little "hellos" at me before we all started moving to the entrance of the building.
"Well, damn, these boys are fire," my inner voice said while fanning herself with her hands.
I giggled quietly, which made the group turn and look at me.
"What's funny, girly?" A black guy with curly hair asked me while smiling at me.
"Nothing, nothing, just thinking," I whispered to him.
"My name is Teo," he said and brought his arm for me to shake.
Nodding my head softly, I looked at the others who didn't seem to pay attention to us before turning back to Teo, who had his eyes on me.
"How come I have never seen you around Zack before?" He asked quietly.
"That's because I was staying with our grandparents for a while. I do come for holidays sometimes," I said. Still looking at him, he nods his head before saying, "Cool, cool," under his breath.
The more we got closer to the school, the more the students grew. People looked our way, but mostly at me.
But I didn't say anything, just turned and walked with them.
"Do you mind telling me the others' names?" I asked him.
Nodding his head, he pointed at a ginger boy before saying, "That's Mikey. He's nice, just always quiet. He's the mom of the group, always making sure we do everything right and not get into trouble," he said while laughing a little.
"Then that's James. He's mostly known for his games. He's the man-whore of the group, always with a lady once in a while, so don't get surprised," he said while glaring at me. Nodding my head, I looked at the other guy who had a black hoodie on then pointed at him.
"What about him?" I said.
"Oh, that's Austin. He doesn't talk to people, always by himself, and he's scary sometimes. His dad has a lot of compounds; he's the only child so he doesn't like people at all," Teo said while I nodded my head at him.
My eyes looked at Austin for a bit before moving to the school.
"Come on, Eli, let's go get your schedule," Zack called out to me.
Waving my arm at Teo, I walked behind him while the others went to their classes.
"Teo seems nice," I said to him. He nodded his head but had a little blush when I called his name.
"Why is your face red, big bro?" I said while smirking at him; he just laughed but kept walking until we walked to the office.
After telling the lady my name and waiting for a few minutes, we walked out together towards the math class.
"Just to let you know, Mr. Matt is a cool teacher," Zack said while I tried to follow him.
He has long legs, while I don't.
We walked for a bit and took a few turns before standing in front of our class.
Zack didn't even knock, just walked in, while I looked at him like he was crazy.
I followed him; I watched him walk towards his friends again and sat down.
Mumbling insults under my breath, I walked over to the teacher who had headphones on his ears while his head nodded to the beats.
Waving my arms in front of him, his eyes snapped to mine before smiling.
"Hello, you must be new," he said with a smile. Nodding my head, I gave him my schedule, and then looked around the class. I noticed everyone looking at me, quickly looking away.
My teacher smiled before handing the paper back to me.
"Do you want to do an introduction?" He asked.
Shaking my head as a no, he nods again but chuckles a little before telling me to go sit with my brother.
Saying a little "thank you," I walked over to Zack, my head still low.
Placing my bag down, I turned over to Zack and then glared at him before hitting his head.
"Ouch, what was that for, sis?" he whispers while trying not to laugh at my face.
His friends turned over to us, but I still glared at him before rolling my eyes.
"Next time don't just leave me like that," I whisper back at him.
He just shook his head and chuckled softly.
I looked at everyone in the class to find some giving me curious glares and some with jealous eyes, but I didn't care.
I just pulled out my book and started writing the notes on the board.
