Elizabeth POV:

When I was finally in the woods, I noticed how dark it looked, kinda scary but I just needed to clear my head from everything.

I dropped my bag on the wet ground before sitting on it with a deep breath.

"Why would they lie to me about this?" I questioned myself.

I mean, yeah, it was something big, but I have been in their house for 2 months now, and still, no one told me. Does this mean Ryan knew about it too?

Shaking my head, I curled up, trying to avoid the cold wind.

"Maybe it was a bad idea to come out alone," my inner voice said while I nodded my head, agreeing with her.

I looked around the forest before standing up, searching for a shelter or something.

My eyes moved softly before landing on a wooden house. It kinda looked scary but seemed nice to stay in. With that, I walked towards the house while my inner voice screamed at me to go back home.

Ryan POV:

I finally watched as Dad and Zack walked away from Eli's room. She still hasn't opened the door or answered anyone.

With a shaking breath, I walked over to her door and knocked softly.

"Eli, please, it's me, Ryan. I know you're angry at Dad and the others, but can you open up for me at least?" I pleaded softly.

After waiting for a few minutes, I still got no answer, making me frown a bit.

I knocked again but got nothing. With that, I fished out the second key that Eli gave me before opening the door softly.

I walked into the dark room while looking around.

"Eli!" I called out, still looking around. I checked the bathroom and then her closet but didn't see her.

I let out a loud cry before running downstairs to get the others.

"Dad, Dad, Eli is gone!" I cried out, still running around the house.

I saw the others giving me a confused look, but my heart raced with fear.

"What do you mean she's gone?" Dad said while trying to calm me down.

I opened my mouth, trying to explain, but I couldn't say a word. Dad searched my eyes, but I still couldn't say anything.

He looked at me for a while before getting up and walking toward Eli's room.

The door was wide open.

Dad looked around, calling Eli's name. That's when the boys came in; they saw Dad walking around the room while their eyes looked around, wondering where their sister could be.

"Where could she be?" Zack said, trying to control his breath.

We were all scared; we didn't want to know if she was taken away from us again.

"Go check the cameras; we can see some videos of what happened," Levi said calmly.

We all walked toward Dad's office, which had all the cameras in the house connected.

Levi looked around the computer while the rest of us stood there with fear in our minds.

I, on the other hand, was fully broken. I didn't want my big sister to be taken again.

"I miss her," I whispered out, crying softly. Dad opened his arms, but I didn't want his hugs; I needed my sister's hugs.

With a deep breath, I looked outside the window, watching as the sun came up before yawning softly.

"Go to sleep; when you wake up, your sister will be back," Dad said softly.

I nodded my head softly before walking out.

But I made a turn to Eli's room before cuddling into her bed, while tears dropped from my eyes.

"Where are you, sissy? Please come back," I whispered before sleeping off.
