The next couple of days consist of Danielle trying really hard to get Haerin's attention but failing badly on it. "I swear is that girl blind that she can't see your efforts?" Hanni asked.
"Well can you blame her? So far everything we tried ended up failing, except for that one time it actually exploded" Minji commented.
"Why did I agree on having a fireworks display?" Danielle asked.
"If that worked it could've been romantic" Hanni replied.
"Welp, it didn't, and we nearly sat your house on fire" Minji added.
"Argh! Why is it so hard!" Dani complained
"This is why I let my boylets do the work" said Hanni.
"Argh. You guys are no help" said Dani sighing "Now go. I have work to finish" she added, and her friends left.
On the flip side. Haerin noticed that Danielle been acting weird ever since they got back from their vacation so, she's getting worried. So, she's currently driving Danielle back to their house and it was a pretty silent car ride.
When they arrived, Danielle went out the car before Haerin could have opened the door for her. At this point Haerin couldn't take it anymore "Dani, wait" she said grabbing the other girls' wrist.
Danielle turned and looked at Haerin tiredly "Yeah?" she asked.
"Is everything ok?"
"Yeah" Dani replied and tried to go in the house but again Haerin didn't let her "What?" her voice was harsher this time
Haerin decided not to press any further and let go of the girls' hand "Nothing, never mind" she said and turned the other way.
Danielle sighed "Wait" she ordered making Haerin turn back "What were you trying to say?" she asked. Her voice is calmer this time.
Haerin came closer "Well, it's just I noticed you've been acting weird these couple of days and I...I'm worried about you" she confessed
"Y-you are?"
Haerin gulped and nodded "Yeah. Well, I mean. It kinda is my job".
"Oh" Danielle replied disappointed.
"Uhm...So, I'll go ahead. Good night" said Haerin turning away again.
"I was acting that way because I was only trying to get your attention" Danielle confessed making Haerin stop from her tracks.
She turned "What?" "Why?". Haerin asked.
Danielle thought for a second "Well, you brought me to your house and you Introduce me to your grandparents and I actually had fun. So, I wanted to repay you" she lied
"Oh" Haerin scratched the back of her head "you don't need to do that"
"But I wanted to" Danielle insisted "How about we go watch a movie this weekend? Only if you want"
Haerin smiled "I'd like that"
"Great, I'll see you tomorrow then"
Haerin nodded "Good night"
"Night"
Saturday came, and the pair are waiting on the line to buy a ticket "So, what do you want to watch?" Haerin asked
"You're going out?! OMG" Hanni said
"Yeah, we're going to watch a movie this weekend" Danielle replied
"Girl! You finally have your first ever date. Make it memorable!" Hanni said
"Yeah, I will"
"You said you're going to watch a movie, right?" Minji asked, and Danielle nodded "Why don't you use that as a stepping stone to make a move"
"Go watch a horror movie" Minji explained
"But I don't like horror movies"
"Girl suck it up. Just think if she gets scared she'll cling on your arms" Hanni replied
"I think, Haerin not the type of girl that gets scared" Danielle commented.
"Well, just try. You don't have anything to lose" said Minji
"Gonjiam Haunted Asylum" Danielle replied
"Are you sure? It's a horror movie" Haerin asked but Danielle nodded her head "Ok, if you say so"
So, they bought some popcorn and drinks then they took their seats. Danielle tried her best not to get nervous, but Haerin noticed it. So, she held the girls' hand. Danielle tensed up at first and turned to Haerin who just gave her a smile then eased up.
Throughout the movie Danielle kept flinching and the popcorn are getting everywhere annoying the people in front of them "Sorry" Haerin apologised as Danielle hide behind the popcorn.
Haerin turned to the other girl and saw that she really is scared and only trying to be brave. And with that she couldn't help but smile.
"So, did you enjoy?" Haerin asked as she walked Danielle to her room
"Yeah, thank you for coming with me by the way"
"No, it's my pleasure actually"
"I know you kept laughing at me" said Danielle pushing Haerin.
Haerin smiled "Night" she said when they arrive. But instead of answering Danielle kissed her cheek instead, surprising the other girl then closed the door behind her.
