Keep the memories Alive

Chapter 2

He is the guy who always puts a smile on my face. On my first day, he were waiting in front of my house and ready to sent me to work.

After breakfast, Ethan departed. I was summoned to the offices for a briefing a short while later. My initial assignment was something I couldn't fail at. I felt as though I had learned everything. I successfully complete all of my tasks, which makes everyone at Neo Tech happy. I am a good follower, and since I had breakfast that contained a magnet, I now draw everyone. They extended an invitation to supper, but I had to decline, making them tense. I finally broke the news to them that Ethan would be departing for Indonesia for a year. The hype machine performed its job well. I am overwhelmed with grace.

I was standing at the door. Even though Itaewon is busy, all I could see was him. I wanted to fly through the air and start shouting as Ethan stood there with his eyes fixed on me, but I was able to contain my excitement. It took a bit of effort to run to him.

"How was your day Noona?" he said, pulling me into a hug

Ethan refers to me as noona despite the fact that he is older because of the Boy Planet variety programme, where participant Han Yujin addressed one of the mentors as noona. And that clip irritates me to no end, and despite my repeated complaints, he continues to produce more butterflies for the world.

"So far so good. You know how work always made me jumpy" I said, returning his hug

We had dinner, talk about our days and he sent me home 

The cycle continued until the day I had been trying to avoid. Ethan begged me not to send him to the airport, but how could I refuse-

Ethan's eyes flicked toward me sad, nervous and pain. I could smell the tears falling soon so I rushed toward him and just hugged him. I knew he was waiting for me to sent him off. 

"Ethan, comeback soon alright. Mashie are going to miss you a lot" Mrs. Lee said

Mr. Chen Lee added "son, don't you dare find a replacement"

The next few words they said I didn't hear since I was too busy crying to hear them. I was not the version of myself that I had planned for this moment last night. Ethan's eyes appeared to be crying, and I was sure they were. God this guy was so hopelessly loyal. I couldn't even give him a hard time like last time he shed tears. I teased him all the times. 

"Your makeup!" He chuckled, stating that a gentleman would not have brought something like that up. Ethan is clearly not a gentleman. Yet I still love him

"Aunty, do I look terrible now?" I turned my face to Ethan's mom

"Ethan, stop teasing her alright. My girl looked super beautiful" his mom grinned

Nathan cocked his head to my side and whispered that make sure everyone hears "Mom lied all the time"

I punched him in the stomach

"That's my girl, atta girl" Ethan pulled me into a longer hug. He insisted I took self-defense class so I did.

"Touche" I smiled 

He left.
