Ghost gets back inside, leaving me stunned out in the scorching sun with Soap.

"At least you tried," Soap says as he gets closer to me.

I smile, blowing some air out of my nose, "You wanna talk about our fight?"

"No, no. I'm fine," He says with a smile, "Come, let's go do something else."

"Like what?" I ask as we make our way back inside the base.

"No idea," Soap mutters, "I could make some food?"

I chuckle softly, "No offense, Soap. But you look like you can't cook for shit."

"Hey?! What's that about? I can make...," he hesitates, " an egg?"

"See," I gasp, "That's what I'm talking about."

"Oh, shut up."

"I'll make you. something," I grin, "I trust myself more than I trust you."

I spend some time in the kitchen preparing something for us to eat. I make sure to make enough for the rest of the guys too. And even though there were barely any ingredients, I somehow made it work.

I place the last plate of food on the small table and call for Soap. He enters the room shortly after, being followed by König and Ghost.

"This will have to do. There wasn't really much to work with," I apologize.

"Are you insane? This is more than we could ever ask for. We usually eat dry toast and protein shakes," Soap says as he takes a seat.

"Guys," König calls the rest of them.

Soap hurriedly shoves a whole piece of french toast into his mouth, moaning loudly when the food touches his tongue, "Bloody hell, Ace. I wish I could marry you."

I laugh, "What's stopping you? Buy me a ring and I'm yours, baby," I tease him a little while walking up from behind him and running a hand along his broad chest.

His eyes widen as he turns to look at me. He swallows the large bite of food immediately, "Alright, love. Deal," He grins.

I smile at him as I take my seat around the small table.

"That smells good. What is it?" Price suddenly enters the room. He had been hiding in some secret room at the back of the base all morning doing god knows what. His task most likely includes waiting for a message from Laswell and doing more digging into this terrorist we're after.

"French toast and some eggs. There's enough if you would like some, sir," I smile at him.

"I knew I'd picked correctly to put you on this mission," He offers me a playful wink before taking a seat.

I look around the table to see Soap indulging himself in the food before my gaze halts at Ghost. I study him as he lifts a bite of food to just below his chin, before pulling up his mask for a split second. He lets it drop down immediately after taking a bite. The fabric of his balaclava softly clings to his jaw, causing it to follow every movement of it.

I so desperately try to tear my gaze away from him, but I fail. Heat flows into my cheeks as he catches me staring. I look away immediately, feeling more guilty than ever.

"Don't be stupid, kids. Please," Price practically begs as Soap slams a bottle of beer on the table.

"Yes, dad," Soap tilts his head, "I'll be up bright and early. I promise."

Price shakes his head in disapproval before leaving the room.
