Chapter 5, Ms Chalice

Short chapter of ms chalice, next would be about Ribby and croaks

Ms Chalice POV:

I wandered around the dark cold nights of this strange universe. As a ghost, it has gotten easier to sneak around and hide. I have never seen most of the outside world besides encountering salt baker or battling monsters with Mugman, besides all that I have no idea what everything is which is funny since I was an actual living thing before but oh well. I walked under a street light to at least find a familiar face around here but sadly that was impossible. I glanced into some buildings and peaking inside when I spotted a house on a steep hill, it was a white concrete cup-shaped house with a hay-like roof. It also had two little pink windows, how cute is that! I floated towards the house, I have a feeling on who it is. As I came closer, I realized that I saw two figures outline, heck similar to my friends!....My friends.... 

"..."

I was right behind them now, The wind flowing behind me, It seemed like they were talking to each other, I wonder what. "I hope I don't scare them" Ms Chalice thought, though a small grin made it's way on her face. Flying into the wall, She popped into the Cupbro's faces with a grin. "boo!"

Third person POV:

"So I'm just saying, we should go to bed" Mugman smiled as he took Cuphead's hands. Suddenly, A ghost appeared out of no where and startled them.

"Boo!" The ghost grinned, At this point both of their face's seemed to turn into their own ghosts as it was as pale as one. "..." The ghost seemed clueless. "Oh sorry guys! I didn't mean-...Well I did mean but uh.." The ghost looked a bit embarrassed.

"..nonoit'sfine" Cuphead sped talked as he shook his head, then shaking his head again realizing who it was. "CHALI-" Cuphead was cut off by Mugmans hand oh his mouth.

"Sh, quiet remember?..."

"Oh yeah, sorry"

"But, what are you doing here Ms Chalice?" Mugman whispered, Chalice put her hands behind her back while fixing her posture, standing up a bit straight.

"Well," Chalice started, "You guys left quite the foot prints in the dirt which lead to a portal hidden within the trees. I assumed you guys were there and I went in" She finished, "I am getting Deja vu from this place, where are we?"

Cuphead and mugman looked at eachother, Cuphead nervously laughed as Mugman sighed. "Well, Cuphead reccomended us to go check it out, then we got sucked into this other universe of ours." Mugman informed, Ms Chalice put a finger to her lips.

"I see, You guys are getting into none stop trouble am I right?" Ms Chalice asked but seemed more like a statement, Cuphead sighed.

"yea..."

"So what is this 'universe' you guys are in?" Chalice looked around for a moment, "nothing seemed to change"

"I don't really know how it works, its the same but me and Mugman don't have powers and everything is caotic, no big events happened here like acertaingamblewiththedevilwhichmanusloseoursoulsandwehadtokillbossestoredeemourselfs and stuff like that!" Cuphead gasped for air after that.

"...Just like Cuphead said" Mugman said.

"Alright then, I'll go explore the world a bit more, I'm interested!" She smiled, Cuphead and mugman looked at each other then back at ms chalice.

"Of course you can" Mugman smiled back, He knew since Chalice was a ghost and doesn't have much opportinity to see the outside world so he knows how much joy and excitement that would give her. 

"Thank you guys so much!" She flowed out and down out pretty fast. "and you guys get some rest!" Chalice waved before going through the floor. "Bye you guys! see you later!" Her voice could still be heard faintly before completely disappearing. 

for a moment, There was only silence, but quite refreshing. After a few more moments Mugman  stood up.

"come on, we should rest like Chalice said." He lend a hand as cuphead grabbed it, getting up.

"Sure".
