The Usual?

  Sunghoon worked at ENGENE Cafe. It was a dog cafe, and it was probably the place Sunghoon always dreamt of working at.

  Jake was just a regular customer, he would always order an iced americano with a chocolate chip cookie. He was only customer that Sunghoon could remember every detail about. All of his stories, his face features and the way he plays with the dogs. You name it.

  The cafe door ringed, meaning that someone entered the building. It was Jake.

  " Hello, Hoonie! " The guy, named Jake walked up to the counter. " Hello, Jake. The usual? " Sunghoon smiled, seeing the other lights up his day. " Yep. Oh, but can I also have a lemonade with that? I decided to take my girlfriend out today. You'll love her. " Jake said, and Sunghoon's smile dropped a little but he remained his composure.

  " Of course, I never knew you had a girlfriend. That'll be 10.53$, have a nice meal. " Sunghoon said before going to the staff's room.

  Girlfriend? He had a girlfriend? Wait- I'm not supposed to be butting inside his personal life. He has a girlfriend, so what? So what... Sunghoon thought but was quickly interrupted by his co-worker, Jay. " SUNGHOON! I GOT THE CUTE BOY'S NUMBER. YOU KNOW THE ONE I TOLD YOU THAT LOOKED LIKE A CAT? " 

  " It's different seeing you shouting and jumping. Who are you? Where did my grumpy ass Jay go? " Sunghoon joked, and Jay mockingly switched his face to an emotionless face.

  Sunghoon went out of the staff room to see Jake and his " girlfriend " doing lovey dovey kissy couple stuff together. He was the definition of  " That should be me " at the moment.

  His thoughts were again interrupted by a slap on the back of his head by Jay. " Stop staring, I know you like that puppy like guy but he has a girlfriend. You look like a stalker right now. " His co-worker said making Sunghoon attack him.

  They both knocked all the packages of creamers and sugars.

  Jake offered to help them clean up but I guess his girlfriend showed her true colours to Sunghoon because she pulled him aside from the scene. " Yah! I know he comes here everyday and always talks to you but stay away from him. He doesn't need to be close to a fag like you. " She looked Sunghoon up and down before putting on an innocent smile and walking out.

  " Jakey~ c'mon let's leave, we have to go to the amusement park now! This is their job, and they knocked it themselves so let's leave now~! " The girl faked an aegyo making Sunghoon gag. Luckily she didn't see that or he would've ended up in pieces from her obnoxious voice.

  " Narim-ah, let me help them okay? Everyone makes mistakes... " Jake said, and his girlfriend didn't accept that answer and somehow she managed to drag Jake out the cafe.

  Sunghoon could see and imagine the girl just screaming at Jake, which could be heard inside the restaurant. So he did what all employees would do.

  " I need to ask you to leave, ma'am. You are disturbing the customers and caring the dogs. So please don't make us force you away. " Sunghoon tried to put on his realest smile. When the girl left with 1000 arguments, Sunghoon let out a sigh of relief.

  " Want to chill with me? " Sunghoon asked the shocked man behind him. " Gladly. "

  " This may sound rude but, how do you handle your girlfriend? It must be a pain to deal with her everyday. " Sunghoon took a sip of his coffee, preparing to listen to whatever Jake had to say. 

  " I was planning to break up with her for the past month, but whenever I try to bring it up, she always tell me 1000 excuses... Y'know valentine's day, our anniversary, etc... " Jake said, eyes drifting off to the floor. " Just do it over text. Simple and saves your ears a lot. " Sunghoon said, making Jake chuckle. 

  The two sat in silence, comfortable silence. " You're pretty. " Sunghoon suddenly blurted out. "I'm sorry- that just came out of my mo- " " It's fine. You're pretty too. " Jake smiled, and the two laughed.

  " What is this? A cheesy romance story? " Sunghoon chuckled. " Well? Do you want to make it one? With both of us? " Jake stook out his hand which Sunghoon gladly took. " You have no idea how long I waited for this. " 

  " I guess our romance story start now? "
