When Thing came back, it was almost time for herbology class for carnivorous plants. Wednesday and Anax saw her Thing lost Rowan, which did not set well with the girl. "How do you lose him in a bathroom with no windows?" Wednesday said as Thing was trying to give her an answer. "A lefty wouldn't have failed me." The comment has caused Thing to... sulk? I think? "Don't sulk." "Well, I think I know why you lost him," Anax said as he looked at Wednesday. "I believe the reason Thing lost Rowan was because that Rowan was a shapeshifter, so whoever showed up wanted everyone to believe he's alive. The real question is who's a shapeshifter?" Anax said as he went over what he believed happened. Bianca looked over and from her point of view, she saw how both Wednesday and Anax were talking to each other. "I'm surprised that you two are friends. Let's see how long that lasts." "We have known each other before, so thanks for the compliment,". Anax said sarcastically as he and Wednesday made their way to the tables that others were sitting in. They saw how there wasn't much empty spots left, at least to their eyes. "There's two open spots next to me. If you both can handle sitting next to an elitist slob," Xavier told the two as they sat in the empty seats, Anax sitting next to Xavier's right, and Wednesday sitting next to Anax.

Not long before they sat down, Xavier hovered his hand over his sketchbook and after a moment, the spider came to life... or as lively as it can be. "I doubt Wednesday and Anax are impressed by your tricks, Mr. Thorpe,". Ms. Thornhill said as she looked at Xavier's attempt to impress the two teens. "Admit it, you're both a little impressed," Xavier said as the two looked at the spider.

Of course until Anax snapped his fingers and the spider was turned to ash by fire, leaving a dark spot on the table, which had the other students chuckle at what he did. "Wednesday, Anax, we're thrilled to have you both on our journey into the world of carnivorous plants. Now, who can tells us the name of this beauty?" Ms. Thornhill said as she gestured to the flower that look sick. Bianca raised her hand first, as she was usually the one who gave the answer, but that was until two voices beat her to it.

"Dendrophylax lindenii," Wednesday and Anax simultaneously said and they kept going. "Otherwise known as the 'Ghost Orchid,' Anax said, "First discovered on the Island of Wight in 1854," then Wednesday added. Which obviously annoyed Bianca as she didn't answer. Ms. Thornhill was obviously impressed by the two's answers. "Very good you two. Looks like you may have competition for first chair, Bianca." Some of the students even snickered at what Ms. Thornhill said. "Anax, perhaps you could identify the ghost orchid's greatest qualities," but Anax was right at it. "Resilience and adaptability, able to thrive in the most hostile environments. However because it could potentially change the ecosystem around it, the native plants reject the orchid," Anax said as he used his power to make the orchid Ms. Thornhill have become more alive. "Furthermore, the orchid is considered to be almost extinct as it is an endangered plant, plus when touched it will give the person hallucinations to said person." Anax finished off as Bianca was upset she didn't get a word in but Ms. Thornhill was impressed by Anax's knowledge of plants. "Thank you Anax, for that illuminating insight. Clearly the plants aren't the only carnivores in class today." And now, class got started once more. Wednesday looked at Anax, who only smirked at her as she looked away, her black heart beating a little more faster than normal.

(I searched up the orchid and considering that Google can be dumb, I just hope this is right. If it's not, blame whoever put that on there.)

After class, Wednesday made her way over to Enid who was still painting her canoe. "Me and Anax need to get to the woods, but Weems has been watching us like a vulture circling a carcass." "And you want me to cover you so that you can return to the scene of a crime that didn't happen? Though I'm not sure why you're bringing Anax with you." "We have bee keeping this afternoon, Anax already has Eugene covering for him while I need you as decoy." Wednesday said, trying to get Enid to help her. "Sorry. Two strikes. I'm busy and bee's totally freak me out. Why don't you ask Thing? Oh wait you can't 'cause he's mad at you," Enid told Wednesday who was unaware of Thing being mad at her. Confused, Wednesday wanted to know more. "Why's he mad? He's the one who screwed up with Rowan." "All I know is that we spent an hour giving each other manis, and he really opened up. He feels like you don't respect him as a person." "Technically, he's only a hand." "Wednesday! He's your family. He would do anything for you. Go apologize and I'll reconsider helping you," Enid said as she went back to painting the canoe. Wednesday knew that she wouldn't budge, so she reluctantly went to apologize to Thing.
