Later, Anax was at the hospital visiting Eugene as Wednesday walked in with a jar of honey as she placed it on the side table. "I harvested hive number three. The bees miss you, Eugene," Wednesday said as she looked at the younger boy, who has yet to wake up. "We all do," she whispered as Anax placed a hand on her shoulder. Thing tapped his way out from behind a monitor, as Wednesday noticed him. "Thank you both for looking after him. Any updates?" "Unfortunately, no, but he has responded to movement just a couple minutes ago, but nothing that will wake him up." Anax said as he placed flowers on the side table.

"He didn't deserve this, I should be in that bed," Wednesday said as Anax looked back at her. "I've said this before and I'll say it again, this is not your fault. We can't do anything for Eugene for now, but we can make sure this does not go unpunished," Anax said as he stood behind her slightly. "Why did you go without us?" She muttered as Anax turned around to see two people entering the room. "We got company," he whispered as Wednesday turned around to find older women. These must be Eugene's mothers.

"You must be Wednesday and Anax," one of them said. "Eugene'a moms. Sue and Janet," Sue introduced themselves to the teens. "Nice to meet you two, wish it were under different circumstances of course," Anax said. "It's nice to meet you too. You both were all he could talk about lately. He was so happy when you both joined the Hummers." Janet said, the two teens seeing how much Eugene thought highly of them. "Eugene hasn't had the easiest time fitting into Nevermore," Sue started explaining, "he was so happy to make two new friends." "Well, I brought him some honey," Wednesday said as she gestured to the jar, and Anax pointed to the flowers. "I thought some flowers would make the place seem more pleasant." "Eugene loves those dang bees like they're his kids. His fuzzy buzzy babies." Anax saw that this could potentially get more awkward, so he figured he could give them some alone time. "Well, I think it's about time me and Wednesday head out, we've said what we had to say," Anax said as he gently pushed Wednesday to walking out of the room.

Anax and Wednesday walked up to the statue in town square, but he noticed something in front of the statue. The ice he put his father in was cut and burnt. "Son of a b!tch," he muttered as Wednesday took notice of the ice. "What did you do?" "My so called father came here, and I know he's gotta have something to make him come here," he said as he looked around the area. However, he noticed a certain woman walking to the cemetery, it was Morticia with a rose in her hand. "Curious," he muttered as he discretely followed the women, Wednesday following aswell. The two walked by the gate to find her standing in front of a gravestone. Morticia tore off the petals of the rose and threw the stem on the grave, which was her way of paying respects to the dead, and threw the petals over her shoulder and walked off.

The two walked closer to find who she was paying respects too, and it was the one and only Garret Gates.

Something's up, and it's not just the monster this time.

It was later on, and they're getting food now. "Mm, I am famished. You're not hungry, darling?" Morticia asked Wednesday who just had her arms crossed. "My appetite eludes me, Mother. The same way the truth eludes you." She said as she walked off to where Anax was sat and reading a book. Gomez walked up to Morticia as he wanted to say something. "We need to tell her." "She'll never believe us. We need to stay strong. And hope that a certain elementalist can come to distract her," Morticia said as she noticed Anax had taken a chocolate and fed it to Wednesday who reluctantly took it.

However, all this was cut off when the Sheriff and some other officers walked into Nevermore. Some of the students and adults were confused about this, but they all soon realized why. "Gomez Addams," Sheriff Galpin called out as Gomez slowly stood up to face him. "What can I do for you, Sheriff?" "Your under arrest for the murder of Garret Gates. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." "What?" Anax whispers as Galpin handcuffed Gomez and led him away. "You have the right to a attorney. If you can't afford one, one will be appointed for you," Galpin continued saying as he took Gomez to the station. Wednesday saw this and was conflicted, and turned towards her mother and boyfriend, her mother having a tear run down her cheek, as Anax wrapped a arm around her shoulders.

Wednesday stood infront of the window to see her father, who was now in a orange suit. He was sat down as he looked at Wednesday. "My little tormenta, how's your mother?" "Devastated, she hates seeing you in orange. Me and Anax caught her laying a rose on a grave earlier today. The name read 'Garrett Gates, the very boy you've been accused of murdering. Care to explain?" Wednesday demanded answers.

And so he began to explain.

"Garrett was infatuated with your mother. He mistook her kindness for interest. His infatuation turned into obsession, and he started stalking her." "Why didn't you call the police?" "We tried, but his family were one of the oldest and richest in Jericho. No one believed us. One of the only people who did was a friend of mine, Damon." This caught Wednesday's attention. "As in Damon Spade?" "Yes. Believe it or not, he was someone... special in a way. But Garrett's father, an outcast hating bigot, was furious that your mother had accused his only son. It all came to a head the night of the Rave'N Dance. Your mother and I stepped out for some fresh air. And that's when I saw him, he had broken into the school. His twisted love for your mother had made him insane. His eyes bore into me, brimming with murderous intent." He began to get to the point of how this happened. "My life flashed before my eyes. Driven by jealousy and hate, Garrett was unstoppable. When I saw the sword, my survival instinct kicked in. It was a terrible accident."

Gomez told the truth, but something about it was... off.

*Meanwhile*

Anax stood in front of a home, a place that has been forgotten for some time now. The person who lived here is now is walking up to him with his aunt, who only glared a bit at him. "Didn't think you'd actually show." "I know you only want to talk to me when you need something important." Damon responded as Anax smirked a bit, "Perceptive, one of the only good things about you." He turned around to see Damon had a look of recognition of the house. "Now, let's get down to business. What do you know about Garrett Gates?" Damon looked at Anax with a surprised look, but he just chuckled. "I always wondered when you would ask that," Damon looked down as he got his thoughts together.

"Because of my family status, me and the Gates family were seen as business partners or friends, but I never exactly saw Garrett as a friend, more of a acquaintance. I was the first person he told me about his so-called love for Morticia. I couldn't exactly blame him since I fell in love with your mom aswell, but then I heard about him being murdered. When it was revealed that Gomez committed the crime, it... didn't seem right to me." "Why did it not sit well with you? I thought you waited for your magic to fade away and not want anything to do with outcasts," Anax said as he crossed his arms.

"Because..." he started saying as he held out his hand, showing something come off it. A flame. "I didn't let my magic fade out, I just pretended to because I hated how people were treating me when I had this, so I hid it. I wanted you to not go through that, so-" "when I hanged out with Wednesday, you thought that I would be treated just like you have? So you decided to send me away." Anax just shook his head at the reason why his parents were like this. "Well, this has just been a waste of time, so I suggest you stay out of my way, I need to speak to Wednesday." Soon he started to walk away, leaving his father in the dust.

Yes this chapter was short, but honestly I just wanted this to be done. School's been on my case for some time and yeh. Be back when I can, bye!
