Chapter 13

Narrator:
*Moondrop got down from the top of the jungle gym.
Melina watched him.
He glanced at her grinning.
But Moondrop tended to the children instead.
After a couple of minutes, the lights in the daycare slowly brightened.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"It's time to get up everyone.
Snack time is soon!"
*He gently patted and woke the children.
Then he looked at the daycare desk surprised that Melina seemed fine.*

Narrator:
*Things went on like before naptime.
Seamless teamwork between Melina and Sundrop.
A kid found her lost shoe and they made a game of it.
Sundrop was slightly uncomfortable.
He had no time to ask about what happened during nap time.
But he noticed the newly adjacent parts of her collar.*

Random little girl:
"Masky lady, why do you wear that mask?"
*She tugged on Melina's pant leg.
Melina looked down at her away from the vomit she was cleaning up.*

Melina Bay:
"Do you know how it feels cold outside right now?"
*She saw the girl nod her head yes.*

Random little girl:
"Uh, Yeah!
Grandpa likes when it's cold out.
Grandpa and Dada go out in the woods a lot!"
*She gushed about that for a moment.*

Melina Bay:
"That must be fun.
Well, when it's cold outside and you try to go out with only pj's on how do you feel?"
*She waited for the girl's response.*

Random little girl:
"I would want to stay inside all day!
Then if mommy's playing dolls I can play with her too."
*She beamed as she stretched her arms out and spun around.*

Melina Bay:
"Well, that's why I wear my mask.
It's like a cold day for me every day."
*she was soft with her explanation.
The girl looked content with the answer and then went about playing with the other kids as if nothing happened. *

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Uh, um. Ms, it's about time for the kiddos to leave the daycare.
Could I have your help?"
*He spoke louder as the kids piled on him.
Sundrop was being swallowed by the kids.*

Melina bay:
"Come on everyone, how will we play red light, Green light if Sundrop is crushed by all of your overwhelming strength!-"
*She got dramatic with her words.
The kids cheered and ran to start a line.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
*He got up and dusted himself off.*
"You are a lifesaver."
*He signed as he walked over to her.*

Melina Bay:
"When you are in my presence, never say that again."
*She quickly grabbed his arm and quietly but sternly said.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Oh, uh. I am sorry.
I won't say it...Again. "
*when he looked at her, even though her face was masked.
Something about her sharp and quiet twist of character made a part of him afraid to move.
He looked at the kids smiling faces as the line was almost done.
Only a few seconds passed.*

Melina Bay:
"Thank you."
*she released his arm and walked over to the kids.
The kids cheered.*

Narrator:
*Sundrop played red light green light with the kids.
When a kid crossed Melina cleaned them up and gave them a treat.
When the parents came they got clean happy kiddos.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"That was one of the best pick times I have ever had!
Look! There is almost nothing to clean up."
*He said as he gleefully pranced around the daycare. *

Melina Bay:
"Yes, when I can help out I would prefer to have more days like this."
*She headed for the daycare door herself.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Wait, wait friend!
Where are you going?"
*He rushed over.*

Melina Bay:
"I am leaving.
Tomorrow are start as a full-time standing for all positions.
But my main job is going to be as a security guard.
I want to finish setting up my apartment."
*She was to the point and monotone.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"But why not just stay a bit longer?
I have not been so happy with and staff member before.
Please, can you stay?"
*He begged with his enthusiastic voice cracking with sadness.*

Melina Bay:
"I understand you and Moondrop respect the children a lot and keep in mind their boundaries.
But unfortunately, I feel like right now is an inappropriate time to establish or talk about my boundaries.
Please understand I would like to rest now.
I enjoyed my time at the daycare with you Sundrop.
I just need you to know that a lot of my boundaries were pushed today and I.
I am upset about it.
At a later date, we can talk about this.
I bid you good evening, I'm leaving now.
Don't try and stop me."
*she spoke calmly and then left.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Boundaries?"
*He was confused and bewildered.*
(Sundrop: "Moon, what is our new friend talking about?
She said she is upset as some of her boundaries were pushed.")

(Moondrop: "Oh, yeah... About that.
I made a teeny-tiny, itsy-bitsy, mistake.")

(Sundrop: "Moon...What did you do?")

(Moondrop: "She may have been responsible and polite to me.....")

(Sundrop: "Moon, what did you do?")

(Moondrop: "She did nothing wrong...
But I maybe, just a little bit-
Dragged her around a bit, tried to remove her mask, and then dropped her from the top of the jungle gym.

(Sundrop: "Moon! How could you?!
This is the first time the kids have had so much fun with a staff member.
This is the first time a daycare staff member has been kind to, Me!
I told her to HIDE!")

(Moondrop: "You were the one that told her to hide from me?")

(Sundrop: "YES, Moon I did.
She did not listen now because of you she may never come back!")

(Moondrop: "Sun, staff are banned at naptime.")

(Sundrop: "Unless they call a meet!")

(Moondrop: "Oh, that's uh...
Damn it!")

(Sundrop: "Bad word!
What was so wrong with her?
You kept her alive so she MUST be on your good side.")

(Moondrop: "At first not at all.
In all honesty, she survived me.")

(Sundrop: "If we ever see her again how will we ever apologize!
You tried to kill her.")

(Moondrop: "Sun, I-...I will think of something.
I promise.")

(Sundrop: "No, more than that!
Promise you won't kill them or hurt them unless they willingly hurt the children.
After we apologize and if she comes back!")

(Moondrop: "Look, Sun I promise.
But only in the first half.)

(Sundrop: "Fine, I hate you so much right now.")

(Moondrop: "Me too.)
