Chapter 24

Narrator:
It's been a week and inspectors have been in and out of the pizzaplex.

Leo had called off today rather early.

So Melina once again was going to be the helper in the daycare.

She made her way to the daycare after she showed up and dressed.

When she got there it was two hours before opening.

She saw Sundrop and he looked ruff.

He was cleaning slowly and overall looked drained.

She had short visits with Moondrop for a while.

Moondrop began being very comfortable in her company.

But for some time Sundrop did not see much of Melina.

Melina Bay:
"Hello, Sundrop.
I will be working with you today.
Let's make today great. "
* she walked in and was quietly behind him with her hands on her thighs as she bent over slightly.
her sudden presence made Sundrop heat up.
Anytime he was in her presence despite her overall monotone front he felt comfortable and safe.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Melina, My Goodness!
I missed you So So So Much!"
* he sprung up Overjoyed with the fact that she was there.
He picked her up and spun around before he hugged her tight.*

Melina Bay:
"Yes, That's-Great Sundrop but I-I have to look over the daycare-"
* her usual voice kind of hinted towards the fact that she was flustered.
His Embrace was gentle and warm.
Even though he had picked her up so quickly it was surprisingly comfortable.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Oh, uh...
Yes-Of course.
I'm just so excited that you're in the daycare again with me!"
* he placed her back on the ground but then recoiled and got flustered with the last of what he said.*

Melina Bay:
"Are you alright Sundrop?"
* she quickly became concerned about his new state.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"I didn't mean to say you here with me.
I mean like it's nice that you're in the daycare and I haven't seen you in a while.
It's nice to be able to see you again and it's hard to have anyone who's n me in the daycare.
You're nice and amazing to be able to work with.
You're just such an amazing person.
I just really can't wait to like be able to work with you again and be around you more again.
Just to have someone that's so reliable like you again and that I can trust and feel so nice around and like I don't want, to hurt you or like push you away because you're one of my favorite friends and people.
I don't have friends and people like you that aren't children.
It's hard to find friends that aren't the kids but don't get me wrong I love the kids but then at the same time, I just want to be able to have time with you.
Like being able to have company time with your kind of like Moony did-"
* he went on a flustered rant and his words started getting faster.*

Melina Bay:
"Then you should have just asked.
I wouldn't mind at all coming down to the daycare more often.
I was hired in so that way I could take multiple positions at a time.
Also if you feel that we are friends I would be honored to spend more time with you.
After all, you're as much as a person and anyone I know."
* she said as she started walking around the daycare.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"You do that for me.
There's so much that I want to say to you. You're the best friend I've ever had that isn't a child or Moondrop!
You're always able to help me when I don't know what to do or I'm overwhelmed.
I don't know what else I could do for you in return.
I have no idea what I could help you with.
I just know that you make me feel safe and happy.
I never felt this way with anyone before.
Sure a lot of people have made me happy like the kids when we make jokes or play games.
But something so different with you I don't know how to say it or explain it.
I'm so sorry this is a lot.
The daycare is going to be opening soon.
We, we should probably get back to picking up the daycare right?!"
* he seems nervous and Confused.
His processor was swirling.
He didn't understand why he was talking so much.
Not only that his system was on the verge of overheat.*
*(Moondrop: "Sunny calm down!")*

Melina Bay:
"That's okay.
Sometimes it takes a lot of time to figure out what your emotions are.
Don't try and rush it because at the moment you're getting overwhelmed.
So just focus on your work I'm trying to figure out what these emotions are you're feeling."
*she too was flush now at what he was saying.
She didn't want to say anything about his emotions and she didn't want to mislead him into what she thought he was saying.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"You're right, I think I need a break.
After all, it's about an hour until opening.
Do you think it's acceptable if I took a 30-minute break?"
* he fidgeted with his fingers and looked away from her as their face lit up with a pink hue.*

Melina Bay:
"That's fine.
I'll conduct the checks on the daycare as you rest for a bit.
Okay?
Just make sure your composure is back together before the kids get here.
That's all I ask."
* her tone was calm and sweet as her monotone faded away for a moment. Sundrop felt so Bittersweet about the moment.
He was being utterly useless just like Leo said.
But Melina comforted him and told him it was okay to take a break.
It was okay to be a little bit more of a person than a machine.
It was okay to be seen as someone's equal.
Sundrop was beyond excited and happy and then upset with himself.
What had he done to deserve such nice company someone is so sweet and caring? *
