Chapter 25

Narrator:
The day went on.

Upon opening the daycare was clean and Sundrop acted like his usual self.

But in the pizzaplex aside from the inspectors, there were a few out-of-place people around.

No one paid mind to them as they bought their day pass.

The people in question passed by the daycare a lot.

They looked at Melina with newfound respect and guilt.

Melina was only helping the children.

That one girl seemed to be in the daycare more often.

Every time that those people passed they started to look confused.

Melina only was playing with the kids and helping Sundrop.

Looking into the daycare, you only saw happy children and kind attendants.

Soon enough the people left.

But still, no one noticed those people.

The day continues.

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Come on friends!
I see a lot of sleepy faces...
Come on and gather around!
It's almost nap time."
*He went on in a soft tone as he went on.*

The children:
*A mix of giggling, yawns, and grumpy responses.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"Hmm, but we are missing  someone,
And I am getting sooooo*yawn* tired.
Can you help me get Moondrop out?"
*He rubbed his eyes and started acting sleepy.*

The children:
"Yeah! Mr.MooOoon."

"Where are you Moony?"

"Moondrop come out it's naptime."

*they started sitting down and crawling on the floor around Sundrop.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《S.D.Online》
"We are almost ready!
Now we need to close our eyes and count to 10 okay?"
*as he said that the children closed their eyes, some of them putting their hands over their eyes.*

Melina Bay:
*Sundrop gestured to turn the lights out after all the children had their eyes closed.
She flipped the switch and the lights slowly went out.
The children's counting started and soon stopped as they finished. *

Narrator:
The children giggled or yawned.

But there were a few who became pouty.

Then the clicks and pops of an animatronic rearranging could be heard in the dark.

It went quiet until 2 red dots hovered over the children.

The children giggled and started making a light fuss.

Sundrop/Moondrop:《M.D.Online》
"Oh, well hello little stars.
I heard you calling.
What do you need little stars?"
*He softly spoke and dulled the red light to a warmer and more widespread soft light on the children. *

The children:
"Mr.Moon, can you read me a story?"

"Moondrop, it's naptime can you take a nap too?"

"Can I have a candy?"

"Moony, up-up."

*the children gathered around Moondrop and Moondrop quickly answered and helped each of them.
It was oddly easier to see Moondrops exoskeleton in that light. *

Sundrop/Moondrop:《M.D.Online》
"That's right little stars~
One day all of you will find a path to walk your life in.
But remember that like the goblin knight.
If you can't love me with my helmet off then, Don't love me with it on."
*He was talking to himself at this point.
The children were asleep.
For some time he was quiet.
He turned the lights out his eyes and the daycare was completely covered in darkness.
Melina was only lit up with a small light on the desk.
Melina sat in the swivel chair behind the desk looking quite fatigued. *

Melina Bay:
"I hope everything is going smoothly outside the daycare..."
(What should I have for dinner? )
*She put her elbow on the arm of the swivel chair, then rested her head in her palm.
Just as her thoughts swirled with her ever-sleepy figure Moondrops hands crept onto the counter on the other side of the desk.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《M.D.Online》
*He pulled himself up on the counter and sat down crisscrossed on the counter.
Before he said anything he was a bit surprised.
His system had evaluated her current status as tired and overwhelmed.
This is the first time his system has decided anything beyond content from Melina.
His cuddle bug program was popping up.*
"Hey, uh...
Are you all right Melina?
Is something wrong...."
*He got a bit closer and seemed concerned.
He was fighting the cuddle bug program to not be so forward. *

Melina Bay:
*slowly looked up at him after her head dropped with surprise as she just noticed he was there.*
"Yeah, I am fine.
I have been doing the night shift and day shift, 6 days a week for the last month.
So I am just tired. "
*her voice was a little raspy, and her speech was slow.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《M.D.Online》
"Wait, isn't that allowed?
Are you being a Naughty employee...
You know Naughty people get punished. "
*He talked in a joking manner.
But he gave a sly smile by accident.*

Melina Bay:
"No, Jack said it was okay.
But he told me that I shouldn't overdo it.
With that being said I think I will take some days off.
Only 2 or so, like my own weekend."
*She spoke calmly and quietly as she readjusted herself in the swivel chair.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《M.D.Online》
"Mhm...
But, you are tired."
*He looked like he was pondering.
Honestly, it was as if he was looking through  Melina as he said that.*

Melina Bay:
"Yes, I am a bit tired.
But I can make it till the end of the day."
*She hugged herself and used one of her hands to rub her arm.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《M.D.Online》
"Can you please let me help you rest?
I want you to take a break.
You're important to me and Sun.
So if you're tired you should rest..."
*He became a bit direct and calm, but the faces he made were lonely and flustered. *

Melina Bay:
"I am going to; just not today okay?"
*She said that warmly.*

Sundrop/Moondrop:《M.D.Online》
*He looked briefly broken and confused.
His processor sank at the idea Melina was overworking herself.
But then again the way she said it gave him pleasant chills down his endoskeleton.
He wanted to cuddle her so badly.
But he never apologized for their first encounter.
He left the desk and then back to watching the children.
The day ticked away.
Moondrop switched with Sundrop.
And on it went.
Though something else had started. *
