At the end of the day, no soul truly cares
For the weight of our hearts, the burden we bear
They ask out of duty, to appear kind
But in truth, they leave us far behindWe share our feelings, hoping for aid
Yet no action follows, just empty charade
For all care for themselves, none for another
Leaving us to suffer, alone in our coverWe cannot speak, for fear of judgment
Or that our words will be met with resentment
We put on a face, to hide our despair
And carry on, with the weight we bearWe long for a friend, a family that cares
And a world where honesty is always shared
But society demands, that we hide our true selves
And conform to their rules, or suffer in hellSo we sit in silence, afraid to stand tall
Too scared to face the pain, of challenging it all
We become the puppet, the mask we wear
And hope that someday, someone else will dare.
