Chapter 5

Konig's flashback

I fumbled with a piece of paper awkwardly looking at the girl sitting in front of me. I looked inside at my messy handwriting,

I awkwardly walked over to her desk before giving her the note. I ran back waiting but my heart broke when I heard laughing and people reading the note out loud. I felt embarrassed but it only got worse when the kids later that day used it against me and bullied me. They called me a freak due to my height, my crooked nose, and my butterfly teeth.

(Butterfly teeth are when your front teeth cave inwards making it look similar to a butterfly, so basically, he doesn't have the perfect teeth that many guys have)

They teased and teased, not to mention shoving me around. Nobody called me by my name besides my family and teachers. The day kept on getting worse by the second, minute, and hour. I picked at my nails and then my skin, watching the cuts ooze blood. My teacher smacked my hand and then told me, (in german)

"Stop it! You are bleeding all over your paper, go to the nurse's office for a bandage!"

People started to laugh, I felt embarrassed and the way people stared and laugh made my skin crawl. It felt hard to breathe so I ran out of the classroom sitting in the hallway trying to hold it together.

A few years later

"Mom I need to go!"

I laughed as she kept on hugging and kissing me.

"But oh sweetheart you are getting enlisted I want to savour every second before you go!"

I smiled and hugged her,

"Oh, I wish your father was still around to see how much you've grown into the fine gentleman you've grown."

"Thank you, mom."

I looked down at her and I knew I want to make sure she was safe forever, she is everything a son could wish for.

Time skip

You both soon arrived to the dining hall and sat at the table to relax while you ate and König

I sat in front of them, my feelings were swarming my thoughts. I only knew them for a few days chill, you can't just get feelings for someone that treats you nice bu-

"König!"

I jumped and turned to Y/n who had a water bottle outreached to me. I grabbed it and then I was given a military meal. I frowned looking up, they probably saw it in my eyes since my mask was on,

"Hey, you got to get ready for them"

I watched them eat and realized I needed to eat as well. I lifted my mask just to reveal my mouth and opened the packaging to eat. As I ate I felt staring, I looked up to see Y/n staring almost surprised. I covered my mouth and coughed making them realize they were staring.
