Chapter 7

König's Flashback

I came back home with a large black eye and tears running down my face. I opened the patio door and heard my mom yell,

"Oh sweetie I'm in the kitchen I have your favourite meal it will be 10 more minutes till it's done!"

I sniffled and walked into the kitchen with my head hung low. My mom was making käsespatzle the smell made me smile a few minutes passed and it was finished. The food was plated and she turned to look at me.

"Sweetheart, can you look up at me, please?"

I looked up and she saw my swollen eye and tear-filled eyes. She cupped my face then said,

"Oh my baby, did they hurt you again?"

"Yes, mum can we just eat and then I'll tell you."

My mother nodded then she also said,

"If it makes you feel any better I also made Sachertorte."

I burnt my mouth on the first bite but on my second and next bites, I blew on it to cool it down. Every bite of the food was savoury and delicious. I loved my mother's cooking but there was a seat empty. After swallowing a bite I asked,

"When will dad come back?"

She had a strange look before saying,

"Oh, hun he..."

She then placed something in my hand squeezing it,

"He wanted you to have this."

I opened my hand to find a dog tag with my dad's name and codename on it.

I tilted my head before laughing,

"Mum, doesn't he need this in the military? Maybe when I get older and go into the military I will take on his codename and make you both proud!"

She smiled weakly.

End of Flashback

I fiddled around with my father's tag remembering the day when my mom told me. I hope I made him proud, I put the dog tag back in my pocket. I got up carefully placed Y/n in a position and left to go to the cockpit. I opened the door and I saw Price and the pilot.

"Hey, how much longer?"

The pilot replied,

"Like a few minutes actually,"

Price then asked,

"Hey, can you wake everyone up for me? We have to move as soon as the plane touches down and meet up with Alejandro and Rudy."

I nodded then went back into the cargo area where we have been staying in. I cupped my hands around my mouth before shouting as loud as possible,

"WAKE UP!"

Everyone jumped and groaned. I smiled before going to Y/n who was rubbing their eyes,
