Chapter 10

König's Flashback

I filled out my papers and was ready to apply for my position as a sniper. I was extremely excited!

Time skip

"You can't be a sniper."

"What?"

I was confused and I felt my heart drop.

"Stephan, you are cutting it since you are quite literally massive and the only reason we are letting you join is because of how much your father impacted-"

"But I want to be exactly like him, to be a sniper so I can make him proud."

"Stephan you barely passed this training to become a sniper. You can't sit still, you're horrible under immense pressure, and you are too big for this spot."

I felt everything fall apart and tears were threatening to fall but I took the job.

I'm used just as a human battering ram, everyone was scared of me because of my looks and brute strength. I tried fitting in but even the people I work with would take behind my back on how I looked. The whispering, staring, and it felt too overwhelming I wanted to quit. It all changed when I took a hostage mission.

There were many women and children whom were shaking. I bust down the door to see a man laying his hands all over a mother's daughter. I saw red and I charged at him he didn't have the chance to scream but once I stopped I quickly started breaking the ties to everyone before calling in backup. Everyone followed me while I ensured their safety, I led them to a safe zone. As they left I felt someone grab my arm, I looked down to see a frail lady.

"Thank you for saving my daughter, I'm forever grateful."

She smiled and I felt a surge of happiness, I nodded my head before replying,

"I was just doing my job ma'am! Now hurry and get back to the others, there is a medic nearby who can help you."

She ran off and I realized how important this job is but if I'm miserable in my position at least I know I'm saving people which will always overpower that misery.

End of flashback

I opened my eyes to see Y/n in their full beauty in the sunlight. I got closer and spooned them again, nuzzling my face into their neck. I mumbled,

"I don't want to leave this moment."

"Me neither."

I yelped and I heard Y/n laugh.

"Did I wake you up, Schatz?"

"No I been awake for a while but I didn't really feel like leaving the bed. Now get back here I like when you spoon me."

I complied and went back to spooning them.

"Hey, Y/n can we do something tonight?"

"Yeah, sure where do you want to meet up?"

"At my tent at 19 pm."

"That's late but sure."
