Chapter 11

König's Flashback

I stood by the doorframe and my mother made a pencil mark before exclaiming,

"Awe Stephan you are getting so tall just like your father! Maybe you can be strong like him as well"

König's younger self grinned from the news and he replied,

"When I get older I will make sure I'll take care of you like you do for me!"

Your POV

The day slowly passed with more training and effort, you didn't want to stop but König started whining,

"Y/nnnn! Please take a break with me,"

König clung to you like a massive man child but he soon convinced you to take a break. Once he did he grabbed your hands and you could only chuckle as he started leading you to his tent. As you both got into the tent he didn't waste a single second showering you in physical affection and compliments. He wouldn't stop kissing you and was just so madly in love, so much that he never wanted to stop making you feel special,

"Oh, Schatz you are so (beautiful/handsome) you are just like an angel."

König kissed your cheeks and lips as you try responding but were too flustered to say anything. You melted into the affection but nothing felt better than how much he showed his love to you. His hands gripped onto your body but then he picked you up and set you on the bed. You got flustered as your mind went straight to the gutter.

But he proceeded to get into bed and then rest his head on your chest.

"Y/n?"

"Yes Kön"

"Why do you love me?"

You went silent and thought about how to answer his question so it didn't sound stupid or over the top.

"Well, when I got to talk and know you more I could only think of how much you were just a gentle giant. I could tell that you joined Task Force 141 to make a difference and help the world."

Konig's eyes met yours and he couldn't help but murmur,

"I knew I was blessed with an angel,"

He took his mask off and his hair was all slightly messy from it. His face was visible to you and he had a smile that just made your heart melt.

More days pass on and it gets closer for the day the whole team goes to Austria. König was both nervous but excited at the same time since he was stating that he was excited to see his mother because he has not seen her in months and he misses her. When you heard this you could only chuckle and smile due to learning that he was a big mama's boy.

On the day of the takeoff and König was fidgeting in his seat all excitedly.

"Schatz I just know my mother will love you and I promise she is the nicest woman you will ever meet!"

You beamed and commented,

"She is probably the reason you are so sweet,"

König nodded then said,

"She is truly amazing!"

You smiled at how much König loved and cared for his mother as he should. He tells you stories about him and his mother such as when she taught him how to ride a bike and shoot a gun. He learned so much from her and you kinda felt nervous that his mother will think you aren't good enough for König.

The flight there consisted of a lot of relaxing and playing card games to pass the time. König rested his head on your shoulder and muttered,

"I love you."

"I love you too Kön,"

König sighed and rested his hand on your leg while relaxing. This felt relaxing and you didn't want to leave this moment ever. König fell asleep on top of you and you smiled how he softly snored.

König's dream

I walked the lovely grassy fields while looking around like I was looking for someone, my lover, Y/n. I saw them lounging in a field all relaxed. I walked up to them and sat next to them. They turned to me and they had such a relaxed yet loving expression. I crawled over and they let me rest my head on their lap, they softly played with my hair. I felt so loved and wanted by them, every touch made me want to stay with them forever, maybe to the point I wouldn't mind marrying them in the future if we stayed together after defeating Shepherd and Graves.

I felt something shake me

König's POV

"Kön...Kön... we arrived."

I sleepily opened my eyes and Y/n was shaking me gently while beaming. All I could think was two things, they looked so perfect and I'm so excited to see my mom. I got up from my chair and followed Y/n off the plane. I was hit with the familiar scent and heat of Austria, I missed my birth country. Everything is exactly what I remembered.

The drive to my childhood house was long and the scenery was still the same as before I moved away for the military. I held Y/n's hand while staring out the window and I couldn't help but feel excited. I miss my mother dearly and her cooking, I hope she won't be too angry about the surprise visit and vacation to the headquarters of TF141. Soon the car stopped in front of my childhood home, my mother's pickup truck was in the driveway and I nervously sighed.

Will my mother be happy to see me?

I walked up the steps of the porch and stared at the door. I raised my hand to knock on the door but I couldn't do it. It was like I was frozen in place.
