TRYST: Secret Meeting Between Two Lovers

CHAPTER 2

Minahil

Me, Areeba and Ali are in the same class and we are at the end of our school career.  I met Ali when I started high school. For the first few years, we were just classmates , but since last year, I have seen different behaviours from Ali towards me.  This thing intrigued me a lot and attracted me to him.  And immediately we became good friends, he shared everything with me and I knew everything about Ali.
I didn't realize when this friendship turned into love. 

For the first few months, I made myself believe that it's not like that. It's just a friendship, and he doesn't have feelings for me.  A little time passes, and i see that he really likes being with me, and sometimes i even saw him jealous when someone approached me.  From there, i couldn't hold back this feeling and realized that I had fallen in love with Ali."  I was still very undecided about what i felt for him because I was afraid of losing and of being alone again. 
When i talked to Areeba about it, it wasn't new to her, and she told me that she already knew it from the beginning.  I was shocked by what she was saying to me, and she explained to me how i behaved when i had Ali around, how i liked working with him and how many times i defended him in our talks. 

I was in shock when I thought back on my behaviour and asked Areeba if she thought he had feelings for me.
Areeba: I think so because he's always sitting next to you. He doesn't let anyone else talk bad about you, and he defends you in everything...
Minahil: Yes, but he can do this in friendship too! 
Areeba: In friendship, you are not jealous when someone approaches your friend, especially if that friend is a male. Minahil: So... what should i do?
Areeba: Leave him, tell me about yourself, what do you think about him? 
Minahil: I think,..I think i like him,I'm not sure!  i-...
I was about to finish the sentence when I felt hands on my shoulder it was Kashf, one of our companions.  She approaches us and wants to be part of our conversation. 
Kashf: Tell me, what's so interesting here? 

Minahil: Nothing special, and i'm interrupted by Areeba, who, in 2 seconds, told everything to Kashf.
Minahil: Nooo! This was supposed to stay between us, i said! 
Kashf: Hahaha, don't worry, Minahil, anyone won't know about this.  Even though i think most of our classmates will have already understood it, at least the girls are sure of this.
Minahil: What do girls know about?
I heard Areeba and Kashf say together: about your crush on Ali.  At that moment, I felt super embarrassed!
Kashf: Anyway, i'm sure he loves you! 
When she finished saying this, the bell rang.  We all went back to our seats, and i started thinking about everything the girls had told me.  I felt a strange tingling in my hands and butterflies in my stomach.  I was so lost in thought that i didn't realize when the hour was up, and now we had to go home.  All the way, I talked about this with Areeba, we thought a lot about Ali's feelings because we weren't sure.  And suddenly we had to change direction and reach our homes.
