TRYST: Secret Meeting Between Two Lovers

CHAPTER 8

It was a beautiful Saturday, all day I thought about whether to talk to Ali or not.  I asked Areeba for advice on how to start the conversation
Areeba: First of all you don’t have to panic, you can start by saying that you want to talk to him

Minahil: I know it, I will definitely be anxious 
Areeba: Minahil he knows you well and knows that you are anxious so he will leave you your time.
Minahil: I hope so, but how am I to continue afterwards? 
Areeba: well it depends on what he tell: if it’s Yes then the parents will have to proceed and if it’s no don’t faint okay!  You have to be ready to accept every answer
Minahil: Ugh what a stress you’ve put on me, but when should I say? 
Areeba: At the last hour because like this, whatever his answer will be, there will be Sunday! 
Minahil: This reasoning doesn’t make sense but let’s try. 

And we left for the next lesson.
Suddenly the chemistry teacher asked me if I was okay because these days he saw me very lost and this thing made me strange.  I never showed what I felt to others who knows how he will have understood!  Not to miss Areeba yelled “Tell us Miss Minahil why is she lost? Who knows what’s going on in her head” she had a wicked smirk as she said it!  I could see all the eyes of the classmates on me and I replied by simply saying “It’s just the change of season so I’m a little tired” Areeba in the end  said “Let’s hope it’s as she tells us” I couldn’t do anything than to leave her an evil look.  I could see her, not breathing as much as she laughed.  At the end of the lesson I wanted to talk to her.

Minahil: Are you crazy?  You really said that in class
Areeba: Your face was to be seen, you were red as a tomato
Minahil: You are not funny at all!  I would like to kill you, you know what a bad impression I made. 
Areeba: I advise you to talk to your Ali now, because school ends in 4 minutes and everyone will leave for their homes but if you want to stay here arguing with me that’s fine!  Minahil: Oh Allah! I forgot uffff what anxiety.  Let’s go get him! 
Areeba: Let’s go!
I stopped Ali who was about to leave
Minahil: I have to tell you something very important
Ali: Tell me
He was talking to me as he walked towards the stairs
Minahil: Can you please stop for a few seconds? 
Ali: Sure tell me
Minahil: It’s important.
I could not communicate anything, it seemed that i have lost my voice. I could only feel the chills in the body and that it was getting cold.
Ali: Minahil?  I also have to go, tell me fast! 

Minahil: Nothing you can leave! 
After I said,I took Areeba and stood to one side, I could see him standing there, he was still waiting for me, he was waiting for me to say something while I was not there and he couldn’t even see me.  He stood there for 5 minutes and then when the school was empty he freaked out.  After a while we left too
Areeba: But you were doing so well why didn’t you confess? 
Minahil: I lost my voice I tried but I didn’t have the words and then you didn’t see it that he was in a hurry...
Areeba: I saw, I was there but you could have finished your sentence
Minahil: Let’s leave this, you saw that he remained standing there for me.
Areeba greeted me saying “who knows who was waiting outside for him”. 

In the afternoon when I was thinking back on what had happened I was glad that he had stayed there. Since it was Saturday papa didn’t go to work.  I hear footsteps towards my room it was papa
Muhammad Minahil’s father : Hey beautiful how are your studies going? 
Minahil: Well dad thanks
Muhammad: Since we are all free today we will go out to dinner. 
Minahil: That’s great. 
Today my day was going especially well, everything was so perfect and just the way I wanted!
ALI
Minahil.... what did she want to tell me? Why she had stopped, maybe she wanted to talk about something that happened in class. I know her and I know she gets nervous when she has to say something important. I’ll try to ask her on Monday.
