TRYST: Secret Meeting Between Two Lovers

CHAPTER 9

It had been a few days since I had tried to express my feeling.  Ali tried many times to ask me what I wanted to say that day but not being ready I was silent. Today was the big day, I had to go to confession.  I couldn't resist anymore, I wanted to be sure about his feelings. At the end of the day as Ali was about to leave I stopped him and I got up my courage;

Minahil: I have to talk to you
Ali: ah here finally I can know what did you want to tell me on Monday
Minahil: Oh yes....
Ali: Ok but now hurry up it's late! 
Minahil: Don't don't...don't make me anxious
Ali: That's fine but we're both late, actually all three of us since Areeba is waiting too. 
Minahil: Ali I think, I think I have some feelings for you
Ali: Thank you...
Minahil: What answer is this what it means? 
Ali: I have to think about it
After he said that he was gone. 
Areeba and I immediately started with;
Areeba: Finally he knows it too!  you finally took this step
Minahil: But his answer didn't make sense! What do you think he will say? 
Areeba: Don't worry, it will something positive, he just asked for time. 

I was in my room at night staring at the mirror.  He wanted time for what?  We have known each other for so many years and then it doesn't take time to figure out if you love a person or not.  This thing worried me from inside, but at least now I felt lighter, he knows I like him so it shouldn't be complicated. I could sleep peacefully without any worries.

Minahil loves me, since when?  What a brave girl, who would have thought, that all this time she loved me.  I can't believe it Minahil loves me?  Everyone's desired girl loves me, she loves Ali.  How crazy she loves me, who would have thought!  Indeed no she had told me that she thought she had some feelings for me!  Now I have to give her an answer... Tomorrow it will be my turn, I'll speak!

I don't know why but for the next 3 days Ali hadn't come to school. Everyone turn to me to find out if he was okay?  I didn't even have his number in fact it was always Areeba who sent me Ali's messages ... no news, who knows what was going through his mind.  In this period we had a lot to study so I didn't miss him in class.  Everything was going super well, I could understand all the subjects.  School played a big role for me, I always wanted to get good grades and keep a great behavior  as everyone already knew.  I spoke to Mustfa who told me a bit about Ali;
Mustfa: Ali had left for France , he had uncles there, he left on Saturday and will be back tomorrow. 
Minahil: Ahh yes, I remembered he said about it, alright thanks for the info. 
Mustfa: You're welcome!  It was a pleasure.  However, you know that I love it when you settle for little things.  It's really nice to see a girl happy for so little.
Minahil: Thanks Mustfa! 
At the time he was away, I thought he was avoiding me but it wasn't like that and I immediately went to tell Areeba about it. Talking to her I realized that yes I was happy, but I have a strange feeling, I think I was wrong maybe I shouldn't have done this!  What if something bad happens about it… no no, I hope not.  In all this Areeba didn't answer me and I didn't understand why.  She just said "we'll see what he replies!"
