Today our class has to go on a trip, we were all very happy because for all the years in high school we had never gone anywhere with our classmates and teachers. In the morning, I receive Areeba’s message “I can’t come, i don’t feel well and therefore I have to miss the trip”
I arrived at school and waited for our transport that would take us to our destination. Everyone asked me about Areeba while Ali approached me and said “don’t worry, you won’t miss her, i will be there next to you, so it’s impossible that you will get bored”.
It would have been a trip to a very famous museum, the departure was at 7:30 and the return was late around 21:00.
When we were in our bus, at first everyone listened to the loud music, we talked a lot among ourselves and enjoyed two quarters of the trip. Now that we are halfway through the trip, everyone has calmed down, and most of them are asleep too. Having left early in the morning, we hadn’t slept that much.
I was sitting with Ali, he had sat next to me because he didn’t want to leave me alone and he refused to sit with his friends. The trip was going well, i was sharing my airpods with Ali, and it was close to arrival. We spent most of the trip listening to music.
While it was still about 1 hour away, I was tired of the music, and Ali started a conversation.
Ali: Tell me? How do you like studying so much? You always get the highest grades aren’t you bored?
Minahil: No, it’s my duty, so I don’t feel the burden of studying, just divide all the subjects by days.
Ali: Ohhhh that’s fine, but you can also turn to me and maybe not talk looking at nothing.
Minahil: Hmmm I’m fine, but I hope I don’t bother you.
Ali: No, relax! How about a snack?
Minahil: Yes infected I’m hungry
Ali: So tell me, miss, what would you like to eat? Sandwich, chips, dessert or a drink.
He called me miss. i said to myself and smiled.
Minahil: Well, thanks. i brought snacks too, so i’ll get something.
Ali: Okay, fine, you don’t want what i eat..
Minahil: Noo, it’s not like that, but i was saying not to disturb you
Ali: You don’t bother me, Minahil! Indeed, i am happy to stay and spend time here with you. I also thank Areeba for a while who is not here today...
I had a laugh, and we started eating the pack of chips . In the meantime, he showed me videos from his phone.
We are in the museum and they are giving us the explanation of all the famous works. Shortly after, they let us go to visit it on our own.
I was walking looking at the works with great interest, and in the meantime, i heard something, and Ali suddenly arriving.
Minahil: You scared me
Ali: Now i scare you, too!
Minahil: Hahha, what a joke!
Ali: Don’t tell me you’re interested in seeing these things!
Minahil: What’s wrong, if you look at them they are very interesting.
Ali: Okay, they will be too, but you’ve been here to see them for half an hour now we can reach the professors and go to lunch.
I looked at the time and it was really a long time ago it was 1pm and it was lunchtime.
We all reached the pick-up point and went to a restaurant to have lunch. Once there, i did a voice message to Areeba to tell her what she was missing. The message I received was “later I want to know all the details”.
At the end of the lunch we had to reach our last destination, the castle.
There was a long climb to do, but it wasn’t a challenge because we were all talking, so it didn’t take long.
Ali: Soon we’ll be at the top
Minahil: Can’t wait to see the view. While we were talking Mustfa Ali’s friend approaches
Mustfa: So how is the trip going, Minahil ? You took our friend, he says, laughing
Ali: Mustfa, don’t disturb her, leave her alone!
Minahil: Well, I didn’t steal your friend he’s the one who promised me that he wouldn’t let me get bored.
So we started laughing and I saw Ali walking away from us.
Meanwhile, I had joined the group of girls to find out how the trip was going. It was 18:00 and we had to go back to take the bus and go home.
I saw Ali taking steps to sit next to me, but Kashf passed him and stood next to me. The return had begun. I was immersed in my thoughts, in my opinion, Ali was disappointed when I agreed with Mustfa. I hear Kashf’s deputy say “heyy earth, call Minahil”!!
Kashf: Are you so disappointed that I didn’t let Ali sit down that you don’t talk to me anymore?
Minahil: It’s not like that. I was just thinking...
Kashf: You were thinking about Ali, true?
Minahil: No, I was thinking about Areeba, i hope she feels good now.
After kashf gets up and goes to ask Ali to come next to me because she had to talk to Mustfa. I felt my heart pounding when I saw him sitting next to me.We didn’t talk all the way back, and now it was time to say goodbye. We walked a little way together to reach our homes, and I heard...
Ali: Now I have to go,see you on Monday
Minahil: Alright, see you Monday!
As he turned to leave, I stopped him.
Minahil: Ali, thanks for being by my side all day. You were absolutely right. I wasn’t bored at all, and it was a beautiful day. I’ll never forget it.
Ali: Glad you enjoyed my company, and don’t worry, thank you for making this day so special.
We looked at each other, and I reached Dad, who was waiting for me at the end of the road.
