the windblume festival lovers -diluc x venti-

the story begins

A/N- this art is by night-firefly on deviant art. also I don't know what to name the chapter so yeah but thatmight change and if I have anything misspelled please tell me :)

'it's about 2 days or so before the windblume festival officially starts if I remember correctly.'

venti thought to himself as he walked around mondstat observing everyone as they put up the decorations for windblume. venti continued to walk around before he decided to stop at the tavern. He didn't have any mora of course but after he played a tune in there someone was willing to buy him a drink so he decided to go try his luck. he entered the tavern as the door swung open and he walked in.

"mondstats best bard has arrived anyone willing to buy this poor bard a drink in return for a song," he said but he soon looked around to an almost completely empty tavern. he counted at least 3 or 4 people and they weren't even paying attention they were either drunk or just asleep.
venti looked and saw diluc (also maybe his crush )there cleaning some glasses. "jeez not very many people here huh" he said going to the chair in front of the counter.
diluc glared at venti befor he spoke "no most people are out preparing for winblum unlike you" he said placing a glass down. venti rolled his eyes
"well that's no way to talk to a friend and besides windblum isn't for another 2 days what's the rush," he said laying hes head down on the counter.

venti watched as diluc shrugged "well I don't know I never really liked windblum since it always involves love" he said crossing his arms as
venti sat hes head up "well that's just the best part of it!" he said smiling "now master diluc will you be kind enough to give me a glass of dandelion wine" he said hoping diluc would give him atleast one glass of wine.

"unless your going to pay me then no," he said rolling his eyes
venti pouted "awww come on master diluc you know I do not have any mora" he said laying his head back down.
" exactly you already owe me so much mora unless you pay me no wine," he said with a serious look

"fineee I guess ill see if anyone will give me an apple instead," venti said getting up "well I suppose this is goodbye, for now, master diluc" he said being dramatic as he bowed giggling before leaving.

like venti said he went and played his lyre and just as he hoped people were giving him apples in return. Although venti was thinking about somthing, he was thinking about asking diluc to enjoy windblum with him. He knew it was a silly request of course diluc would say no he's stubborn. But venti at least wanted to try to get diluc to say yes. once he collected his apples he went up to the barbatos statue thinking of a way to ask diluc to windblum. He sat in the statue's hands as he ate an apple, and thought of ways to ask diluc to winddblum and basically confessing his love to him. he thought for a bit before coming up with a plan. he would first find flowers for him and give them to diluc as he's windblumes and then he would just be straight forward and ask.

to him it was easier said than done, he sighed and laid back looking at the clouds and birds as they passed by.

After a few hours, venti hadn't realized he fell asleep while sitting on the statue. he had curled up in an attempt to keep himself warm I mean he didn't have anywhere else to go. He soon woke up and just laid there. Venti didn't really enjoy sleeping outside it wasn't comfy or very healthy but it was better than nothing but he would fall asleep at the tavern after a few drinks but diluc would always get mad at him.

Instead of sleeping, the lonly bard thought of what type of flowers to get for diluc as hes windblums to him. He thought hard about this it took him about an hour or so to think of something,and eventually he decided to get the windwheel flowers in the morning.

He stretched and yawned before going back to sleep in a very uncomfortable way.
