Everyone rushed to their next Archeology class, they hoped that no one was missing this time. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as the final two, Holly and Dave, rushed into the room. A massive sigh of relief exited everyone's lungs as they counted the heads that remained. They then huddled in a circle in the back of the room.
"Okay guys, I think we need to talk about this with each other. No one else will even understand what is going on." Holly reasoned with the group.
"Yeah, this is definitely no accident or dropout situation. It's like Alec and Ken just, poof, disappeared from reality." Matti said while he did a poofing motion with his hands.
"And why are we the only ones who remember them?" Andrew thought while he looked seriously around the circle.
"So many questions and no answers... What could possibly be going on???" Makayla said while putting her hands on her forehead in confusion.
"Here guys have some brain food, it'll help us think" Harp then offered everyone some of the beef jerky she carried while she personally feasted on some leftover chicken she brought.
"How can you eat in a situation like this???" Nico said as he started to cry again. "Losing two friends mysteriously, that's like crazy? I feel sick and sad just thinking about it." Dave started to pat Nico's back as he cried to comfort him. Everyone else went back to discuss what caused all of this.
"Well let's start with what we do know. We know that we remember Alec and Ken, but no one else does. We know that the markings and stuff that Alec left are gone like they were never there in the first place..." Kiera started to break down the situation.
"Oh– Also it's raining today too. Remember there was an awful storm when Ken disappeared too!" Holly brought it up.
"Good point, we should be extra cautious on bad weather days then," Andrew said while he thought hard. "Well, something seems to happen when we aren't together. Should we all just spend as much time as possible together? I mean it is worth a shot." At this point, everyone looked at each other and nodded. Something wouldn't happen this time. For sure.
"But where should we stay? Also, we have different classes on most days so what about during those times?" Dave mentioned as he started to listen to the conversation as Nico had calmed down a little bit to just sniffles.
"Hmmm, good point. Well I mean, while this place is kinda ominous if we see if we can stay here there wouldn't be any risk of us disappearing in between meeting times of Archaeology?" Andrew responded. Everyone hesitatingly agreed. That did logically make the most sense with the strange things that have occurred so far. Then everyone got into their seats as Professor Ranking came in to start the lesson.
After the lesson finished Andrew, Holly, and Kiera went to talk with the administration and Professor Ranking then worked out a deal to let the 8 students stay in the Archeology room for a couple of nights. They delivered the good news and everyone sighed, slightly more relieved. They went back to their dorms to grab the necessary items for their nights in the Archeology room.
