Days passed. Ken didn't return to class. Everyone individually started to ask outside sources all around the college. No one knew Ken. No one. The air in the classroom was tense and confused.

"You guys do remember him right?" The question was on everyone's mind. Matti pulled the trigger on it.

"I do... well I mean. I think I do." Nico responded and rubbed his eyebrows from thinking. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I hate to say this but... Was Ken... Real?" Alec brought up. The room stiffened. No one wanted to answer.

"I mean... He sure seemed real to me?" Harp decided to interject. "I mean we all remember him so he definitely had to be. Right?" The air around the classroom was still stiff but everyone got a little more comfortable.

"Yeah... The best we can do for him now is just remember him. Even if no one else does." Makayla reasoned. Everyone agreed with her. From that point on the classroom got slightly more lively. Instead of looking back on the confusing event, everyone decided to look forward in remembrance of Ken and keep him in their thoughts.

As a few more days passed the atmosphere in the classroom started to get friendly again. This time everyone talked with each other, and the groups dispersed a bit more. One class morning they all stood in the front of the room chatting.

"Aghshs!!!" Kiera exclaimed while she turned around, "I had completely forgotten that Earl was still here after all that happened. Seeing his ugly face scared me." Kiera pretended to shiver while she looked at Earl.

"Awww cmon, he really isn't that bad is he?" Nico asked Kiera with a smile on his face.

Kiera rolled her eyes. "Yes." Everyone laughed a little bit. Of course, she would say that.

"Hey, I mean I still see where she's coming from." Alec laughed while he put his arm around Kiera and gave her a noogie. Everyone started laughing. It was just like before.

"Well, who wants some beef jerky!" Harp shouted out. Everyone else shrugged their shoulders and took a piece of beef jerky. Nothing wrong with that.

"Okay so I'm thinking, heaven forbid, something like this were to happen again. Why don't we each leave some item or a mark somewhere? Then idk maybe that will help us figure something out?" The idea ran out of Nico's mouth. "I don't want anything to happen to you guys, that would be awful."

As they talked over the idea, everyone decided that they would do some tests to see if that was a good idea. Everyone brought a distinct item from the dorm they could live without and left it in the back of the room. After they came back the next day, everything was still there. Nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. Then as a precaution, everyone decided that it would be good to also draw something somewhere. They all decided to write their initials on a bottom corner of a cabinet where no one would ever think to look other than them. They all took a step back, satisfied with their work. Now they have a chance to know if something happened. They continued their days with more peace of mind. As much as they could have.
