Chapter 14- Liz's Party

[Y/n Pov]
Me and Peter walked in to Liz's house having no clue what to do. Flash could leak that photo at any moment and  potentially reveal our secret.

"Maybe we shouldn't worry about Flash too much" Peter told me obviously looking nervous

I lowered my voice and said to him "how can we not worry? I mean how are we supposed to get Spiderman and You in the same place?!"

"Relax, we'll figure it out"

I looked around, MJ was in the kitchen, Ned was with Betty and everyone was just having a good time, we walked around for a couple minutes, avoiding Flash. Me and Peter looked away and Flash appeared on the DJ booth.

Peter leaned over and whispered to me "Maybe he won't even notice we're here"

"I doubt th-"

"Ayyyy Parker!" Flash boomed over the speaker. And all of a sudden all the attention was on us.

"So where's your Spider friend?"

"Duh- uh- he's-" he stuttered

All around us everyone was staring waiting for Peter to answer.

"Come on! Don't we want to see spiderman?" Flash taunted

"Yeah!" Everyone shouted in unison

I got closer to Peter, looking at him, wondering what to do. We started to panick as everyone chanted "Spiderman! Spiderman! Spiderman!"

We could just say Spiderman isn't coming. But then Flash would leak the photo and whatever else he has. So there was one other option, a distraction.

I nudged Peter's shoulder and said "play along"

He looked at my confused, wondering what I meant by that and just like in the movies I "fainted"

Peter caught me and the room went silent. Everyone started murmuring instead

"Everyone back up, I think she needs some fresh air" I heard Peter say

He carried me bridal style out side and as soon as I felt the cool breeze I opened my eyes and Peter put me down

"What was that, are you ok?!" He looked at me with that same concerned look

"Yeah, I am, I didn't mean to worry you but we needed to get out of there"

He looked back at the party, every one went back to what they were doing, eating pizza, drinking, and talking, not interrogating us about spiderman.

He looked back at me and I gave him a stern look, "Now you go back in there as Spiderman, I didn't just embarrass myself for nothing"

He stepped back with a playful smile "yes ma'am" he ended with a soft chuckle.

[After the Party, Y/n and Peter are walking home]
"Do you think Flash will delete the picture?" I asked him

"Oh I made sure he would, I watched him"

I giggled "good"

Peter grabbed my hand and we walked in silence for a couple minutes

"Y/n?" He looked down at me
"Yeah?"
"We should run away together"
I busted out laughing
"Peter I would love to, but my dad would kill me" I looked up at him and his soft gaze
"You're right. But what if we could, where would you want to go?"
I thought for a second.

"Paris"
"Paris?"
"Yeah...it's so romantic, and it's just somewhere I want to go."
"Paris" He repeated in a far off tone
"Where would you want-" I tried to ask but I realized Peter was looking at something over my shoulder.

"What is it?" He gently turned me around.

There in front of us was an orange sparking portal, MJ and Ned were on the other side, motioning for us to meet them.

Peter started forward but I grabbed his arm, "Peter I have a bad feeling about this"

And in less then a second the portal moved and swallowed us, and we were on the other side, in Ned's dinning room.
