Lost In Love (Book Addition) Peter Parker x Y/n

Ch 8- Should've stayed inside.

I went out the doors and saw nothing. All the street lights were knocked out, and there was no one around. "What the...." I said out loud. I used my powers to light up my way a little more and saw something coming at me. Something- someone with green eyes. My mind raced there was no cover anywhere so I put up a shield. Vulture hit my shield with full impact and I flew back. Me and Wanda hadn't had much training with shields, that explains why mine was so weak. I immediately changed to my suit and was ready to face Vulture.
[Peter's Pov]
She trapped me in the janitor's closet!
I can't believe she used that kiss against me. Whatever, that's not important right now. Y/n was out there all by herself dealing with whatever it is that was threatening her. Was it something I said? Then I thought back all I said is that we don't have t- oh. Dang it Y/n. I tried opening the door but something was blocking it. I didn't want to have to do this but I guess I have to. I backed the farthest I could into the small closet and lunged forward with all my strength. Next thing I knew I flipped over a chair and hit the lockers. Ow. I got up at hurried to the bathroom to change into my suit, I hope Y/n is okay.
[Y/n's Pov]
I'm ready he'll come after me again and I'll shoot a- my thoughts were interrupted when something hit me from behind. How'd he get behind me?! "You know..." I slowly stood up "Pissing off the strongest person around you isn't very smart." He gave a big cackle at this. "You think you're stronger than me?" I was about to open my mouth when- "I'd bet she is." I looked behind Vulture and saw Peter standing in the school doorway with his suit on. Uh oh, I hope he isn't too mad about me shoving him into a custodian closet. Vulture averted his attention from me and turned to Peter. "Ah, Spiderman! So nice to see you again. How about we keep this between me and your little girlfriend here?" Peter's spider lenses lowered, staring down the vulture. "Fine, have it your way." Vulture lunged toward Peter but he dodged by flipping over him and he happened to land right beside me. Once he gained his balance he put his hands on his hips and tapped his foot. I gave him an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to get hurt-" then Peter snapped out of his pose and pushed me along with him out of the way of something. We both rolled and when we stopped Peter was on top of me I looked to the side and right where we were standing a moment ago the ground was singed. I looked back up at Peter and he was still looking at the spot. I cleared my throat and behind the mask, he most likely blushed. "Sorry, so sorry I didn't mean to-" I saw something coming towards us and this time I put up a stronger shield. "I go left you go right." I said to him. He nodded and we both hit vulture with all we had. I can't get through his armor. Then me and Peter dodged an attack simultaneously. "This bird guy is annoying!" He looked at me. Guess I shouldn't have opened my big mouth. Here goes nothing. I flew up and he followed me, he flew very fast towards me and I just barely managed to dodge it. For a split second, I looked at the ground and saw Peter getting into position. "So, now that it's just us up here, why did you want me?" He tilted his head. "Isn't it obvious? You're a Stark. I need to show your father a lesson in....." I wasn't listening to what he was saying because I was nervously looking from him to Peter on the ground. "And I always say hit 'em where it hurts." This caught my attention, what did he mean by that? Then he completely turned his back on me and dove for Peter. Shit, "Pet- Spiderman watch out!" I yelled. Peter dodged but Vulture counteracted his dodge and latched on to Peter with his metal claws. I flew down and used my powers again to immobilize him. "Spidey....go...." Peter grabbed the claws and unlatched them from his chest. Vulture kept struggling and trying to let go of my grip. Remember what Aunt Wanda said.
[Flash back]
"Y/n you have to remember this power is only as strong as you and your emotions. You never know one day you may find someone you want to protect with these powers." I looked at her with a disgusted face "Like a boy?! Ewww I'm only 10 Aunti Wanda." Wanda laughed. "You'll understand when you get older Y/n"
[End of the flash back]
I smiled at that memory. I looked up and Vulture's struggle seemed to be dying down. He was giving up I thought. Peter came from behind me limping. "Omg spidey. Your leg! And you bleeding!" "I'm fine." "Wel-" I went to say but I was interrupted by Vultures' laughter. "Parker I don't know why you're trying to hide from me." Shoot, he knows who Peter is. "Look kids I got places to be...." He started stretching out his wings, I struggled to keep him still. "So let's rap this up." Then he let out the wings and then came out a big whoosh I flung back again this time hitting a metal crate. That's gonna leave a mark. I slowly got back up and I hit vulture with a stronger energy ball this time and this time he flew back. Peter ran up to me and hugged me. "Ow, ow, ow, ow." He gently pulled away and looked at me worried (he didn't have his mask on anymore). "Are you ok?!" I just nodded my head. Peter jumped. I immediately knew it was his spidey sense (Peter tingle). This time Peter pushed me to the side and Vulture grabbed Peter and lifted him in the air. "Peter!" I stood up and tried to use my powers on vulture again but he was gone. I looked around and Peter nor Vulture was anywhere to be seen until I looked up and Peter fell from Vulture's now outstretched grasp. I rushed over to him. "Peter? Peter wake up." I tried shaking him but he didn't move. "Damn it!" I yelled. "As I said, hit them where it hurts." I looked above me and the vulture was hovering with a crate in his claw. He tried lunging after me but I dodged "Stark will learn." I just looked at him confused. "You haven't even hit me!" He cackled again and dropped the crate he had been holding. It fell with a huge explosion. I fell to the ground due to the force of the blast. Every noise was muffled but I heard someone calling my name again. My head lolled to the side and everything slowly went black.
[Peter's Pov]
I woke up coughing, the air was tainted with smoke. Was something on fire? I slowly sat up looking around everything was blurry and my ears were ringing. I tried standing up, I stumbled a little bit but I finally caught my footing. My vision went back to normal and I saw a line of fire 50 feet in front of me. Where's Y/n? "Y/n?" No answer. "Y/n?!" I heard coughing coming from the direction of the fire. "Y/n!" I ran straight into the fire "Y/n?! Y/n answer me!" I moved my arm and saw Y/n on the ground unconscious. "Y/n, oh my god." I ran to her and picked her up getting her out of the fire and somewhat fresh air.
[Y/n's Pov]
I was gasping for air. "Hey, hey, hey....it's ok." Said Peter from beside me. I  sat up on my elbows looking at him. He was holding his shoulder, coughing. "Are you ok?" I asked him. He looked at me then looked away and stood up. "Are you ok?" He asked me. "I asked you first." He just smiled wearily and held his hand out to help me up. I took it and leaned on him. "Where'd he go?" "I don't know. Let's just go home." Me and Peter started walking, his arm around my shoulders. "I'm starting to think we should've stayed inside."
