Ch 11- Decathlon

While one the bus ride to Washington, Liz quizzed us. "Strawtium, Variume, Vibraniam." Peter answered with as he rung the bell. Liz barley lifted her head and gave Peter the side look. "Very good Peter." Liz walked down the bus' isle and I whispered to Peter. "Ugh why does she always look at you like that, last I recalled she's the one that cheated on you."

"What do you mean, like what?"

"She gave you the side look. The one you give when you're really trying to grab someone's attention."

Peter put his hand on my leg and looked me in the eyes.

"Y/n."

"Yeah?"

"I'm not with Liz anymore, ok I'm with y-"

Peter was interrupted by his phone ringing, it was Happy. He answered it and put it to his ear.

"Hello?"

"Peter why does it say you and Y/n are out of state?"

He pulled the phone away from his ear and put his hand over the speaker. "How would he know..." "the trackers" we said at the same time.

"Uhhh ya, me an Y/n are-"

"You two ran away together didn't you?"

Mine and Peter's expressions dropped. How'd he know we were together?!

"Uh...n-no it's a school trip. Why would you even think that?"

"It's obvious you like each other." Happy bluntly said.

"What about my dad?!" I said a loud, loud enough for happy to hear me.

"Tony's completely oblivious. But anyways you two better be back by Friday or I'm telling him."

"We'll be back by Friday!" Then Peter hung up the call and slumped in his seat.

"You know its not a bad idea."

Peter perked his head up and smiled at me.

"What?" He asked

"Running away with you."

Peter sat back up in his seat and leaned twordes me, I closed my eyes and then- Liz cleared her throat. "Peter do you know the answer?"
Peter quietly groaned and turned back around to the bus' isle.

"What was the question?"

[At the decathlon]
"I'm telling you, she did that on purpose." I said as I put my suite case on the x-ray machine.
"Yeah, I know." Peter replied with.
Speak of the devil. Liz walked up to us.
She didn't even acknowledge I was there and she was just smiling at Peter. She walked closer to him and put her hand on his forearm while looking into his eyes. "You're gonna do great. I know it." I was ready to rip her had off him, as she continued to stare at Peter for a good long moment after. I could feel my eyes heating up. Then she let go and walked away.

"Y/n...woah!" Peter grabbed me and pulled me to the side.

"What?!" I said angerly

"Y/n calm down." He said in a calm voice

"I am calm!"

He gave me a (really?) look.

"Ok. So I'm not exactly calm but you see how Liz looks at you and she was staring at you for a long time and-"

"Y/n, I know, but if you keep this up everyone is gonna find out you have super powers. Your eyes are glowing!" He whispered.

"Well I don't know how to turn it off!" I whispered back
