Chapter 5: honor

Victoria stood in front of the room she'd be staying in, Daniel and Mr. Miyagi had already put their stuff down.

"Victoria-Chan." Kumiko said making Victoria look over at her. "If you want, you sleep in my room."

Victoria shook her head, "it's okay I don't want to be a burden."

Kumiko walked up to the other girl, "no burden, please I insist."

Victoria smiled and looked back at Daniel, she nodded and Kumiko led her down the hall and to another room. She opened up her door and Victoria awed at the room. It was beautiful, a blue futon was rolled out on the ground. There was a desk close by that had photos taped to the mirror of dancers in beautiful kimonos.

Kumiko took her bag and set it down in the corner before disappearing. Victoria took in the room, looking at the notebook that was on her desk and the paintings hung up. Some held characters that Victoria couldn't understand, her hand ran over the fan that also sat on Kumiko's desk.

"I want to be a dancer." A voice made Victoria jump

She looked back to see Kumiko, carrying another futon. She smiled and rolled it out.

"Traditional Okinawan dancer." She added and motioned to the bed, "for you."

"Um thank you." Victoria said and knelt down

Victoria woke up early which was not like her. Kumiko wasn't laying in her futon which was made nicely, Victoria got up and changed into some nice clothes and pulled her hair into a bun. She knelt down by her bag pulling out her camera luckily it was fine.

Victoria walked downstairs into the garden, the morning was beautiful and there was a nice breeze. She pulled her Camera up wanting to snap some shots.

"Good morning." A voice pulled her away

She looked up seeing Kumiko, Victoria smiled. "Good morning."

"How'd you sleep?" The girl asked

"Amazing after the long plane flight." Victoria answered and asked. "Thank you for letting me stay in your room. I just needed to get away from the boys."

Kumiko shook her head, "ah, no problem."

Victoria picked her Camera back up, snapping some photos. She turned the camera around seeing Kumiko.

"Say cheese." Victoria told her

Kumiko gave a big smile as she posed, Victoria pressed the shutter button before looking back at the photo.

"Very pretty." Victoria told Kumiko

Victoria turned and walked away, turning back to find that Kumiko had vanished. Just then the sound of a door opened made her look, seeing Daniel as he walked down the hall and spoke to Yukie for a bit. As he left, Victoria walked up to her.

"Ohayo Gozaimasu." Victoria said and bowed to the woman

She had been working on some Japanese phrases, simple ones like hello and goodbye and thank you. Yukie looked pleased with the girl as Victoria stood up.

"Yukie-San right?" Victoria asked

Yukie nodded, "you Victoria-San."
