Chapter 8: Chozen

"Hey Daniel." Victoria called

He walked up to her, "hey Victoria, what's up?"

She shrugged, "you doing anything fun today?"

Daniel nodded and smiled, "yeah me and Komiko were going to go sightseeing, if you wanted to come."

Victoria smiled faltered for a second before Victoria got a grip of her emotions.

She shook her head, "no I'm okay, I was going to go explore and probably take some pictures."

Daniel replied, "nice that's sounds fun but I have to go. I'll see you later."

"Yeah see you later." Victoria said back

She watched as Daniel walked away, and up to the car. Victoria walked up to the house and and into the garden where Yukie sat.

"Victoria-San." She called and the girl walked up to her. "What wrong?"

Victoria shook her head, "nothing it's just I don't have anything to do."

The woman nodded, she reached into somewhere and pulled out some money and handed it to the girl.

"Miyagi go to Naha, you go get something nice for self. Have fun." She said

"Oh I can't take this money." Victoria refused

"Please, I insisted." Yukie said again and put it in Victoria's hand

The girl smiled and thanked her getting up and hurrying out. She was exploring the village saying hi to the local villagers and making friends before she finally found a taxi. Naha was different then Tomi village, the city was bigger and had a lot more people as well as a lot more shops. You could get lost here if you weren't careful.

Victoria walked down the streets in awe, saying hi to the people. She explored the city, Yukie said that Mr. Miyagi was coming here so Victoria would just come back with him. It was beautiful there, she snapped some more photos of the people and the scenery and the stores not wanting to forget anything of this trip.

Victoria stopped as she saw a nice little store across the street, it looked quaint and cute. Something Victoria liked so she crossed the street and walked in.

"Konnichiwa." The store own said as Victoria walked in

"Konnichiwa." Victoria answered and walked in

She looked around the shop, it held such amazing things. Shirts and other clothing items that were beautiful made in one corner, some wooden souvenirs in another section, pottery and ceramics and even some little cat statues with it's hand raised up. Victoria still couldn't believe she was here and wasn't sure what she was going to get.

The girl walked the store several times looking at every little piece, wondering what to buy.

"Need help?" The owner called

"No I'm good." Victoria called back

Her eyes landed on something in the back, hair decorations. Hair pins and sticks and other cool decorations, Victoria quickly walked up and examined some of the items. She had seen Komiko use a hair pin, using the stick to hold up her hair as well as just decorating it.

"Where's your boyfriend, American girl? Not safe for you here alone." A voice in her ear made her jump

Victoria gasped and looked over on her right side, seeing Chozen towering over her. His hand against the wall as he leaned closer to Victoria. He had the same cocky smile as the day she first arrived here.

"He's not my boy-" Victoria caught herself in the middle of her sentence. "It's complicated and I can handle myself."

She grabbed the hair pin and walked away, Victoria walked up to another shelf. Her eyes glossed over some silk bags before she realized what they were, Omamori's or good luck charms. Victoria picked one up looking at it.
