"Let's play a game," Sam said, smiling at Carl who was in front of him.

Carl looked at him, "Okay, what game?" He asked, "truth or dare?"

"sure," Carl said as he smiled softly at Sam, sitting on the grass.

Sam looked at him and sat in front of him, on the grass, "I'll go," he told him, "truth or dare?"

Carl thought for a second before choosing, "Truth," he said, looking at Sam, "Is it true you're very terrible at sports?" Sam asked him, giggling, "Yes," Carl said joining him, "Okay your turn,"

"Truth or dare?" Carl asked him, "dare."

"I dare you to do the weirdest dance you know." Carl told him, "Alright." Sam said, standing up, and starting to do a funny dance, making Carl laugh, "no, no, you're doing it wrong!" He said standing, he began to do a weird dance as well.

Sam laughed, "alright, alright, you win." He told him, watching him dance.

Carl stopped and looked at him, smiling, "Wanna go somewhere fun?" Sam asked, Carl nodded, "sure. Let me go change-" Carl got interrupted by Sam grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the backyard.

"hey, I gotta change my clothes!" Carl told Sam, "you look fine! Chill out!" He said, giggling as they walked onto the sidewalk.

Sam pulled Carl out of the woods and by a Clift, Sam showed him by moving out of the way, Carl walked over to edge carefully and looked over, seeing an lake under them, he swallowed, "holy moly this is high,"

"yep. You ready?" Sam asked him, standing beside him, Carl looked at him, "For what?"

"to jump, of course!"

"you didn't say we were jumping or anything!"

"c'mon! It'll be fun!" Sam said as he began to take his shirt off, looking at the sky view in front of them.

"no way, this is crazy! Who would be stupid enough to jump-"

"come on! We're kids! Kids do stupid things all the time!" Sam told him, looking at him in the eyes.

Carl swallowed, "but what if-" he felt a hand place on his shoulder, "Carl, we only live once, just come on."

Carl thought for a second, he looked at the lake underneath them, "Alright, fine." He said as he took a deep breath, taking his shirt off and dropping it at their feet on the ground.

Sam looked at him, holding his hand out for him to take, "We only live once," he reminded him, Carl nodded and took his hand, it felt warm and it made Sam smile softly.

Sam began to slowly count to three, when he got to the number three, they both jumped at the same time, holding each other's hands still.

They landed into the lake water, making two big splashes as they landed, Sam swam up to reach the top of the water, as he was above, he began to look around for Carl but instead he got splashed with water, he looked and Saw him, "Hey!" He said, he went and splashed him back, Carl giggled and swam over to him, "you could've killed us," he said, "yeah, but wasn't it fun?" Sam asked him, watching Carl move a piece of Sam's hair out of his eyes, "Kinda," Carl said softly as he made eye contact with him as he did so, making Sam swallow and blush from the eye contact.
