as Sam and his mother got home, Sam didn't get out of the car, swallowing again, he hasn't spoken a word for the whole car ride, "Sam, tell me the truth,"
Sam looked at her, meeting her eyes, "are you doing things you shouldn't?"
Sam blinked a couple times, "I- I.. uh-"
"I want the truth. be honest."
"Maybe..?"
"Like what?"
"Sneaking out, lying and.."
"And what?" Christine asked, looking at her son, turning the car off, crossing her arms while exhaling, waiting for him to answer her question.
"And..." Sam bit his lip, "maybe drinking?"
Christine stared at him, "you have been drinking?"
Sam looked away from his mother, feeling bad that he knew what he had done was wrong.
"Sam, why were you drinking?" Christine asked, not looking away from her son, "I don't know-"
"Don't lie. Tell me." Sam sighed deeply, turning to look at her again, "because, with dad being an complete asshole to me, I just did. He started making me drink when I was little," he spoke, explaining what his father had done to him, shedding a tear.
Christine didn't speak, she stared at her son a few more seconds before looking away again, exhaling.
Sam just wiped his tears away and sighed quietly, he looked out of his window, staring at the grass.
"He better be thankful he's behind bars, because I would kill him if he weren't."
"Me too," Sam agreed, turning to look down at his bag that rested by him on the floorboard, he had a few other secrets that he didn't tell her; nor anyone.

Sam walked into his room, going over to sit on his bed, he just took off his shoes and began to think.
Should he tell his mom the other secrets he has? Or will that just cause even more trouble? He wasn't in much trouble but his father definitely was.
He just exhaled and grabbed his phone, unlocking it as he just blinked a few times, taking a deep breath, going to his contacts, beginning to text his friends.
