"You kissed Gerard?! THIS IS SO GREAT. So are you guys...together, or what?", I asked Bronty, after she told me about yesterdays events back at the BP House.

"I don't know. After we kissed, we both just sort of looked at eachother and then he ran out. Maybe he regretted it?" she replied with a sad expression. We were both on my couch, drinking our Starbucks with a pack of strawberry laces each.

"Yeah that's what everyone says, and then it turns out there's a reasonable explanation. So go and talk to him, I bet he is waiting for your phone call!" She nodded and walked towards the stairs, her phone in her hand. "I'll go and see Billie, come over when you've finished." I closed the door behind me and began down the street towards Billie's house.

"Hey, Millie." I turned to see Mikey jogging towards me.

"Hey."

"Mind if I join? Haven't got anything to do." he asked, now walking beside me.

"Um, sure. You don't even know where I'm going yet." I laughed quietly.

"Oh yeah, where are you going?" he smirked.

"To Billie's house, he's having a movie night."

"You spend a lot of time together. You sure you're just friends?" he smirked, but I could see a different emotion on his face.

"Of course, we've been best friends since pre school." I frowned and increased my speed.

"I guess, but have you ever thought of him that way?"

"No.." I replied, getting slightly frustrated.

"Oh come on Millie, he's not a bad looking guy, he has great taste in music and a sense of humour. You're positive that you -"

"Mikey! I said no okay! What's with all the questions? It sounds like you fancy him or something. Wait.. Do you?!" I stopped and grabbed his arm. He raised his eye brows in shock,

"What?! No, no, I don't fancy him. I was just curious if you liked him, in that way or not. I like girls."

"Well to answer your question no, I don't. It would be weird, he's like a brother to me. I've known him my whole life." I replied, feeling slightly confused by this choice of conversation. I hurried to get to Billies house.

"Sure. So do you like anyone at the moment?" he asked, rubbing his hand across the back of his neck.

"Um, I'm not sure. Maybe, possibly, probably not. Why do you keep asking so many weird questions? Do you need dating advice or something?"

"Well, we're pretty good friends now and friends tell each other everything, so I guess I could tell you that I like someone."

"Really?! Do I know her? Mikey pleaaaasse what's her name?!" I asked, now pulling him to a stop, and eagerly smiling up at him.

"I can't tell you. But you do know her very well. I have known her a few weeks now, and I want to ask her out on a date." He smirked again, his hands fidgeting in his pockets. As he looked at me, he bit his lip. I didn't know how to feel about him liking someone else. Sad, happy for him, disappointed it wasn't me or jealous of this new girl?

"I guess you just go up to her confidently and ask her out. Nothing soppy or creepy just a normal, hey I really like you, do you want to go on a date with me?"

"Okay, and what should the date be?" he asked. Since we were having such a long conversation, we decided to sit on a hill literally right next to Billies house.

"I would say something fun. Ya know, something to remember. However, nothing dangerous or scary. But adventurous, exciting and fun, followed by a meal, but only if it's going well." Despite me feeling down about his crush, I still wanted him to have a good date, so I gave him my best suggestions.

"Awesome, thank you so much!" He stood up and walked off towards his house again. I shrugged at his change of plan and proceeded to Billies front door.

It opened before I even got there. Billie stood scowling at the decreasing figure of Mikey.

"What did he want?" he asked, fists and jaw clenched.

"Well hello to you to. How are you Millie? Oh yeah I'm great, thanks for asking." Rolling my eyes, I barged past his shocked expression and made my way to his room.

"Sorry, he just makes me angry."

"Why? You were fine yesterday. What's changed?" I asked, resting my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around me and turned the TV on to some James Bond movie.

"I don't know, he just pisses me off sometimes. Don't worry about it." he kissed my forehead comfortingly and my phone buzzed in my pocket. It read a text from Bronty.

BRONTY

We've talked together and now we are going on an official date this weekend :) I will skip Billies house tonight but catch up with you tomorrow ;)

"Who's that?" Billie asked.

"Bronty, I helped her set up a date with Gerard." he nodded and turned up the volume. Hopefully my advice won't go so well for Mikey...
