Millies POV
I spent two hours sobbing on Evans shoulder. He knew when I phoned him that I was close to breaking down and pulled a sicky from work, I could always rely on him. After my argument with Mikey I ran home and ten minutes later Evan knocked on the door holding a tub of ice cream and tissues, his arms open wide. Tears were already rolling down my face as I practically ran into his embrace. It took him by surprise but he immediately hugged me back. He closed the front door and took my hand, pulling me to my sofa. Arms wrapped me in a warm hug and I instantly felt secure.
I told him everything, from the band practices at the BP house. To the fact I hadn't seen my parents in over a month. I explained how lonely I felt, he whispered soothing words while he rested his head on mine. We even spoke of Bronty's birthday which was this Saturday. Gerard and I were arranging a surprise party after their concert, everyone was invited. Gee was going to give her the portrait he drew of her in Art and ask her to be his girlfriend properly.
After a while, Evan got up a brought in two spoons. We tucked into the now melted chocolate brownie icecream and sat in comfortable silence.
"I'm sorry about your shirt." I giggled at the mascara marks that covered his now not so clean tshirt. He looked down inspecting it and chuckled,
"Oh, don't worry about it."
"I never asked how you were coping."
"Who says I am?" He sighed and put down the empty tub, I shrugged. "I texted everyone on my contact list, put up posters and informed every passer by. I guess it was all just a waste of time. Because it's clear she would rather us worry where the hell she disappeared to, than have us find out about her secret relationship." He scoffed and tightened his grip across my shoulders. "And to think Mikey knew and didn't tell us."
"I know. We'll find them Ev, I promise."
"But they don't even want to be found."
We sat in silence for a while longer before Evan stood and said he had to go. He collected his jacket and offered me a sad smile.
"Any time you want to talk, you just have to call. Okay?" He said, I nodded in understanding,
"Thank you." We hugged again before he winked and left. I waited until I saw him disappear through his front door. I closed my door and walked into my kitchen to tidy up. A few seconds later, there was the sound of a key in the lock. What? I walked back towards the door and it flew open.
"Hello, darling!" My mother screeched.
"Mum? What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same question young lady. Why aren't you at school?" She pulled in her suitcases and crossed her arms, raising her perfect eyebrows.
"Don't answer a question with a question." She brought her finger to my face and was about to start a rant when my father walked in through the door.
"Hey Mills!" He cheered, wrapping me in a hug.
"Hi dad, can someone please tell me what the hell is going on?" My hands rested on my hips, awaiting an answer.
"Well we're on home business for a week. It also means we can spend more time together." My mother replied, all traces of annoyance from before had disappeared. I nodded and let my parents wander through to the spotless living room. "I'm impressed with how clean the house is, glad to see you haven't had any parties." I rolled my eyes,
"How do you know I haven't?" I smirked, her eyes narrowing.
"So back to my previous question, why are you here?" she smirked,
