Naway's p.o.v
''If you don't mind me asking, what is Toruk Makto and his son doing here'' I ask carefully as I look up at my father. ''Naway!'' my mother hisses slightly hitting the back of my head. ''Sorry Toruk Makto'' I mumble as my ears pin back and I look down at the ground.

''It is okay'' Toruk chuckles making me look up slightly, I catch the glance of his son before he looks away avoiding my gaze. ''They are here daughter, because toruk's eldest son Neteyam needs a mate to complete becoming a warrior of their clan and becoming Olo'eyktan'' My father tells me we with a smile. I look at him confused a and furrow my brows.

''What exactly....does this have to do with me'' I say hesitantly not wanting to get smacked again by my mother. ''My daughter you and Neteyam are betrothed to eachother'' my mother smiles at me. I feel my heart stop while I look at Toruk with wide eyes.

I'm so young, and I mean they way that Neteyam is avoiding my gaze, he does not seem that happy. I want to find my own mate but if it would be best for the clan and for my parents I must do so. ''When will I have to leave?'' I ask softly as my ears pin back again.

''Well, we were hoping as soon as possible'' Toruk Makto smiles. ''My daughter will be a fine Tsahìk Toruk Makto'' my mother smiles while putting her hand on my shoulder with a big smile. ''Yes she will, Naway has been training with Alira her whole life'' My father nods in approval making Toruk smile.

''That is very good'' Toruk nods his head while looking at me. Neteyam looks at me with a certain look of rage in his eyes before turning to his father. His ears also pinned back before huffing and leaving our tent.

Toruk looks stunned. ''Sorry about him, he is just grouchy from the ride here'' Toruk Makto says trying to ease the tension his son left in the room. ''It is no problem Toruk Makto'' My father says in an understanding tone. ''We must celebrate the betrothal tonight before we send you off tomorrow Naway'' My mother smiles at me.

I nod my head in agreement bot wanting to cause any problems. ''Good, let me get my son and we can announce it to the clan tonight'' Toruk says before walking out of our tent to go find Neteyam.

''I will go talk to the women, so they can start decorating'' My father smiles before also exiting. I turn to my mother and look at her as tears well up in my eyes. ''My daughter what is wrong?'' She frowns. ''Why didn't you ask what I wanted mother'' i ask as i try to keep my tears in. ''I don't even know this boy'' I add on as a tear escapes my eye. ''I know honey but it must be done'' my mother frowns even more.

''The Omatikaya are a strong clan my love, you will make a fine Tsahìk for them, and we will be joined together from this'' she adds on. ''I kno but I wanted to pick my mate mother'' i sigh looking down. ''Honey, eywa has done this for a reason. She has brought you and the great Toruk Makto's son together for a good reason. We can not turn our back on this, and if it doesnt work out then that mean she has other plans for you but you need to try. For the sake of our people and making something of us'' she encourages me.

I sniffle and nod my head in agreement. ''Fine'' I mumble. ''Good, now we need to get you ready so we can have the celebration between you and your future mate'' she smiles at me making me nod my head slowly.
