CAMILLE ACCOMPANIED JENNA to Canada for the Scream VI movie. The two cousins asked permission from Camille's mother, which she said 'yes' to. Now, Camille was nervously walking two steps behind Jenna to find the cast. She already met with her new bosses, Matt and Tyler. They just gave her a quick summary on what she would do during her time on set and how she'd help them. She'd help maintain order on set, call in the cast members who need to film, track the filming progress, etc. Camille was battling the urge to smile like an idiot at her new, but temporary job.

Afterwards, Jenna thought it'd be a good idea for Camille to meet the rest of the cast of Scream before they all went to do the table read. Some of them were in Mason's trailer and as the two cousins inched closer, Camille could hear the sounds of laughter erupting. Jenna opened the door to the trailer and walked in with a friendly smile on her face. Camille stayed right behind Jenna on the steps of the trailer. She heard people excitedly greeting Jenna when she walked in. It was mostly the recurring cast who cheered for Jenna's presence.

"Hey, Jenna! Come in!" Mason welcomed. The trailer was slightly crowded since there were already six people in it. Jenna waved at everyone.

"Uh, I actually have someone I want you guys to meet." Jenna announced. She looked behind herself to see that the trailer door was covering Camille. She opened the door and told her to come in as she made room at the entrance of the trailer for her. Camille walked in and sheepishly smiled and waved at everyone. "Guys, this is my cousin, Camille. She's gonna be the assistant to Matt and Tyler around here. Camille, this is Devyn, Melissa, Jasmin, Mason, Jack, and Milo." Jenna introduced from left to right.

Everyone waved at her. "Jenna, Camille, come sit with us while we wait to start table read." Melissa offered, scooting down the couch to make room for them. The movie's first table read was in five minutes. And in those five minutes, the cast have already included Camille into their conversation like she was already part of the family.

And when no one was talking to her, she took it upon herself to look around the trailer and see the faces of the people she'd call her coworkers for the next couple of months. But to make things even more awkward than it already was, she would keep accidentally making eye contact with Jack. She didn't know why her eyes would always bring themselves in his direction, but it was like every time she looked, he was already looking at her. She hoped so badly that she didn't look stupid or anything like that.

When five minutes passed, the cast went to go do their table read. Jenna let Camille stay in her trailer until they were done. The rest of the day was easy for Camille. She took notes on the filming schedule and who was filming what on what day, how much they should have filmed by the end of the day, and which cast member has to do wardrobe fitting and when they have to do it. In Camille's eyes, it was a pretty great first day. If only she stopped being so nervous around her new coworkers.

One week has now passed. And surprise, Camille is still scared to talk to people unless it's for work. She has no idea where this shyness is coming from. Her shyness didn't make her seem fragile though, it just made her seem stand-offish. It's not her fault that she just has a resting bitch face. However, she's actually gotten better with it compared to her first day. She talks to Melissa and Jasmin, which is nice. But other than them, she doesn't really talk much.

And somehow, the only other person to have actually noticed this was Jack. He saw how she only ever sits with Jenna, and how when they're in the same room, her feet point towards her because she's most comfortable with her. He noticed how often she spins the ring on her finger with her thumb. He noticed how different she acts with Jenna compared to everyone else — she was actually vibrant with her. And so, when Jack saw Camille on her phone sitting by herself on one of the wooden picnic tables outside the stage, he decided to approach her.

"Hey." He greeted, immediately grasping her attention. Jack had just finished up shooting a scene, so he was still wearing his Ethan Landry outfit. Camille looked up from her phone and quirked her eyebrows for only a second. She didn't expect anyone to come up to her.

"Hey." She greeted him back.

"Can I sit?" He pointed his index finger down to the wooden bench. Camille nodded her head, so he sat down. There was only a beat of silence before Jack asked her, "Do you like working here?"

"Uh, yeah." Camille locked her phone and placed it down on the table. "It's been really fun."

"You're not being sarcastic, are you?" He genuinely asked her.

She shook her head, "No, why would you think that?"

Jack shrugged his shoulders, "You've been looking pretty lonely the past week."

Camille felt like a loser. She really hoped no one would notice how much time she spent by herself on the sidelines. She let out a sigh before responding, "Yeah, I've just been kinda nervous. You know, meeting a lot of people all at once."

He nodded at her words. He looked at her completely still hands and then back at her face. Camille wasn't playing around with her fingers or with her rings, which was rare for Jack to see. "You don't seem to be nervous right now."

"Maybe it's 'cause we're just one-on-one." Now was the time Camille fiddled around with the silver ring around her index finger.

"I'm sure if you went up to anybody here, they'll talk to you." Jack assured her.

Camille gazed at him for a good few seconds. What was this guy doing being nice to her? Why did he randomly start talking to her when he's barely done so the past week they've been working together? She tried looking for an answer in his eyes, but couldn't find one. She didn't want to look like a weirdo for staring into Jack's doe eyes, so she quickly came up with a reply. "I'm sure they would, but I feel like I'd do something to make it awkward."

      "Just don't be awkward."

Camille tilted her head and pressed her lips together as she narrowed her eyes a bit, "Wow, I've actually never thought about that before. I'll make sure to try it out next time."

Jack smiled at her. He actually got her to make a joke with him. That was progress in his opinion. His next goal: make her laugh. "Yeah, I know, I'm pretty good at this." Camille playfully rolled her eyes and grinned as a breathy chuckle escaped her lips. It wasn't a laugh, but it was something.

Jack spent the whole afternoon getting to know Camille and vice versa. He didn't know what he said, but he eventually said something that made her laugh. He finally got to hear that glorious sound — like one of a symphony. All he knew is that he wanted to hear it again. So he spent the entire time trying to do so. And he didn't stop until Jenna came outside and saw them together and decided to join in on the conversation. Afterwards, Jack thought long and hard about the next goal.

He liked sitting there with her. Camille was like a breath of fresh air and Jack felt like he could stay there for hours on end. Maybe he was just crazy since it's only been a week since he's known Camille and they're in the middle of their first actual conversation. But maybe he wasn't and his brain subconsciously knew he was meant to sit here with Camille as their lives began to intertwine with each other.
