Y/N couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, even as she left the coffee shop and walked down the street. As she turned a corner, she noticed a man following her, his gaze fixed on her back. Her heart rate quickened as she picked up her pace and tried to lose him in the crowd.
Man: "Excuse me, miss. Can I talk to you for a moment?"
Y/N: "Sorry, I'm in a hurry."
Man: "Please, it'll only take a moment."
Y/N: "I really have to go."
Y/N quickened her pace and tried to blend in with the crowd, but the man kept following her, his voice growing louder and more insistent.
Man: "Wait, don't go. I just want to talk to you."
Y/N knew that she had to act quickly. She turned around and faced the man, hoping that her assertiveness would deter him.
Y/N: "I don't know who you are or what you want, but please stop following me."
Man: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to ask you a question."
Y/N: "What kind of question?"
Man: "I noticed you at the coffee shop earlier, and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you are. I was wondering if I could take you out for dinner sometime."
Y/N: "I'm sorry, but I'm not interested. Please leave me alone."
Man: "Come on, don't be like that. Just one date, that's all I'm asking for."
Y/N: "I said no. Now please leave me alone."
The man continued to plead with Y/N, but she ignored him and quickened her pace, hoping to lose him in the crowd. As she turned another corner, she noticed a familiar face in the crowd - it was Detective Kim.
Y/N: "Detective Kim, over here!"
Detective Kim noticed Y/N and made her way over to her, her expression serious.
Detective Kim: "Is everything okay, Y/N?"
Y/N: "No, this man was following me and wouldn't leave me alone."
Detective Kim turned to the man, her eyes cold and steely.
Detective Kim: "Excuse me, sir. Can I help you with something?"
Man: "Uh, no, I was just trying to talk to this woman."
Detective Kim: "Well, she's clearly not interested. Now I suggest you leave before I make you."
The man quickly backed away and disappeared into the crowd. Y/N breathed a sigh of relief as Detective Kim turned to her.
Detective Kim: "Are you okay, Y/N?"
Y/N: "Yes, thank you. That was really scary."
Detective Kim: "I'm just glad I was able to help. But we need to talk - there's been another development in your case."
Y/N's heart sank as Detective Kim led her to a nearby bench, her expression grave.
Y/N: "What is it? Has something happened?"
Detective Kim: "It appears that there's a copycat at work. Someone is mimicking Niki's methods and sending threatening messages to you."
Y/N: "What? That's insane. Who could be doing this?"
Detective Kim: "We're not sure, but we're doing everything we can to find out. In the meantime, I would suggest being extra cautious and keeping your guard up."
Y/N: "I will. Thank you for letting me know."
Detective Kim: "Of course. And don't worry - we'll catch whoever's responsible."
Y/N: "Yes, I believe I am being followed. I've noticed someone following me on my way to work and when I'm out running errands."
Detective Kim: "That's concerning. Do you have any idea who it might be?"
Y/N: "No, I haven't been able to get a good look at their face. They always seem to keep their distance."
Detective Kim: "Okay, we'll need to step up our surveillance and make sure you're safe. We'll also see if we can get any footage from the areas where you've been followed."
Y/N: "Thank you, Detective Kim. I appreciate your help."
Detective Kim: "Of course, we'll do everything we can to keep you safe. In the meantime, I would suggest being extra cautious and trying to stay in crowded areas whenever possible."
Y/N nods in agreement, feeling grateful for the detective's support.
As she leaves the station, Y/N can't shake off the feeling of being watched. She decides to take the long way home and makes sure to stay in crowded areas, as Detective Kim had suggested.
But even with all these precautions, Y/N can't help but feel like someone is following her. She quickens her pace and keeps looking over her shoulder, but she doesn't see anyone suspicious.
As she turns a corner, she bumps into someone and drops her phone. As she bends down to pick it up, she realizes that the person she bumped into is the same person who has been following her.
Y/N: "You! Why are you following me?"
Copycat: "I just wanted to talk to you. You seemed so familiar, and I couldn't resist following you."
Y/N: "That's not a valid reason to follow someone. Who are you, and what do you want from me?"
Copycat: "I'm sorry if I scared you. My name is Tom, and I'm a big fan of your ex-boyfriend's case. I just wanted to know more about it and maybe get your opinion on some things."
Y/N: "I don't want to talk about it. Please leave me alone."
Tom: "I understand. I'm sorry for bothering you. Can I at least walk you home to make sure you're safe?"
Y/N: "No, thank you. I can take care of myself. Goodbye."
As Y/N walks away, she can't help but feel creeped out by the encounter. She knows that Tom's intentions might have been innocent, but the fact that he had been following her without her knowledge made her feel uneasy.
She makes a mental note to be more careful and vigilant in the future and hopes that the police will be able to catch whoever is responsible for the threats and the stalking.
