Y/N was sitting in her living room, staring blankly at the wall, when there was a knock at her door.

Y/N: (calls out) Who is it?

Voice: It's me, your best friend.

Y/N hesitated for a moment before getting up to open the door. She was surprised to see her best friend standing there, looking nervous.

Y/N: (surprised) Hey, what are you doing here?

Best friend: (nervously) Can we talk?

Y/N: (concerned) Of course. What's going on?

Best friend: (hesitantly) Y/N, I need to tell you something. Something really important.

Y/N: (worried) What is it?

Best friend: (takes a deep breath) I'm the copycat.

Y/N: (shocked) What? You're the copycat? How could you do this to me?

Best friend: (upset) I'm so sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean for it to go this far. I just wanted to help you catch the killer.

Y/N: (angry) Help me catch the killer? You killed innocent people! You could have killed me!

Best friend: (defensive) I didn't kill anyone! I just wanted to scare the killer. I didn't think anyone would actually die.

Y/N: (frustrated) You didn't think? You didn't think about the consequences of your actions? You put my life in danger!

Best friend: (apologetic) I know, Y/N. I'm sorry. I never wanted to hurt you. I just got caught up in the thrill of it all. Please forgive me.

Y/N: (shaking her head) I don't know if I can forgive you, (pauses) but you need to turn yourself in. You need to face the consequences of your actions.

Best friend: (nodding) I will, I promise. I just wanted to tell you before I did.

Y/N: (sighs) Okay. Let's go to the police station. We'll do this together.

Best friend: (grateful) Thank you, Y/N. I don't know what I'd do without you.

Y/N: (sadly) I don't know what I'll do without you, (pauses) but what you did was wrong. And you have to face the consequences.

Y/N felt a pang of sadness and betrayal as she looked at her best friend, who was now in handcuffs.

"I can't believe it's you," Y/N said, her voice trembling.

"I'm sorry, Y/N," her friend said, tears streaming down her face. "I didn't mean for it to go this far. I just wanted to feel important, to make a name for myself."

"You could have talked to me," Y/N said, tears now streaming down her own face. "We could have figured out another way to feel important together."

"I know, I know," her friend said, her voice breaking. "I'm so sorry. Please forgive me."

Y/N shook her head. "I don't know if I can. You betrayed me, and you betrayed all the people you hurt."

"I know, and I'm ready to face the consequences of my actions," her friend said, looking down at the ground.

"You'll have to," Y/N said, her voice cold. "I have to report this to the police, and they'll take it from here."

"I understand," her friend said, still looking down.

Y/N took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She had lost her best friend, and she had lost her faith in people. She couldn't believe someone she trusted so much had done something so terrible.

As she walked away, Y/N couldn't help but wonder how many other people out there were pretending to be someone they weren't. She had always been a good judge of character, but now she realized that sometimes even the people closest to you could be hiding something dark inside.
