Y/N was surprised when Kim Sunoo showed up at her doorstep a few days after the incident. She had barely spoken to anyone since her former best friend had been arrested, and she wasn't sure she was ready to face anyone.
Kim Sunoo: (smiling) Hey, Y/N. Can I come in?
Y/N: (nodding) Yeah, sure.
Kim Sunoo walked in and took a seat on the couch. Y/N sat down next to him, still feeling uneasy.
Kim Sunoo: (concerned) How are you doing?
Y/N: (sighs) I don't know. I feel like everything is falling apart.
Kim Sunoo: (puts a hand on her shoulder) I know it's hard, but you don't have to go through this alone. You have me, and you have your family and friends who love you.
Y/N: (tearfully) I just can't believe she did this to me. I trusted her with everything, and she just threw it all away.
Kim Sunoo: (comfortingly) I know it's hard to understand why people do the things they do, but sometimes it's not about us. It's about their own issues and struggles. It doesn't excuse their actions, but it can help us have some empathy and understanding.
Y/N: (wiping her tears) You're right. I just can't help but feel like I should have known. I should have seen the signs.
Kim Sunoo: (shakes his head) Don't blame yourself, Y/N. You couldn't have known. She was good at hiding it from everyone.
Y/N: (pauses) How did you know I needed someone to talk to?
Kim Sunoo: (smiling) I'm your best friend, remember? I know you better than anyone.
Y/N: (smiling back) Thank you for being here, Sunoo.
Kim Sunoo: (grinning) Of course. You know I'll always be here for you, no matter what.
Y/N felt a sense of gratitude wash over her. She was lucky to have someone like Kim Sunoo in her life, someone who would always support her and be there for her.
Y/N: (grateful) I don't know what I'd do without you.
Kim Sunoo: (jokingly) Well, your life would be pretty boring without me, wouldn't it?
Y/N laughed, feeling a sense of lightness she hadn't felt in a while.
Y/N: (smiling) Yeah, I guess you're right.
Kim Sunoo: (smiling back) I'm always right.
Y/N: (laughs) Yeah, right.
As they joked around, Y/N felt a sense of hope. Maybe things would be okay after all. Maybe she could find a way to move on and heal, with the help of her loved ones.
As they walked, Sunoo took Y/N's hand and squeezed it gently.
"You're not alone in this, Y/N," he said softly. "I'm here for you. Always."
Y/N smiled gratefully at him, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "Thank you, Sunoo. I don't know what I would do without you."
Sunoo's thumb rubbed soothing circles on the back of her hand. "You don't have to do anything alone. We'll get through this together."
They walked in silence for a while, enjoying each other's company. Y/N felt a sense of comfort being around Sunoo. He had been a constant source of support and comfort for her, even when things were at their worst.
"Sunoo," Y/N said softly, looking up at him. "Can I ask you something?"
"Of course," Sunoo said, smiling down at her.
Y/N took a deep breath. "Do you remember when we were kids, and we used to play pretend?"
Sunoo chuckled. "How could I forget? We were the best at it."
Y/N smiled, feeling a sense of nostalgia wash over her. "Do you remember when we used to pretend we were a couple?"
Sunoo's smile faded, and he looked down at their intertwined hands. "Yeah, I remember."
Y/N felt a rush of embarrassment, wondering why she had brought it up. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought that up."
Sunoo shook his head, looking up at her again. "No, it's okay. I just...I never thought it would actually happen, you know?"
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?"
Sunoo looked into her eyes, his expression softening. "I mean, I've always had feelings for you, Y/N. Even when we were kids, I knew you were special. But I never thought I had a chance with you."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise. "You...you have feelings for me?"
Sunoo nodded, his gaze never leaving hers. "Yeah, I do. And I know this might not be the best time to bring it up, but I couldn't keep it in any longer."
Y/N felt a warmth spread through her chest, and she felt a smile form on her lips. "Sunoo, I had no idea. I...I don't know what to say."
Sunoo reached up and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "You don't have to say anything, Y/N. I just wanted you to know how I feel."
Y/N felt her heart racing as Sunoo leaned in closer. She closed her eyes as he pressed his lips gently against hers, and she felt a sense of completeness wash over her. In that moment, she knew that no matter what happened in the future, she would always have Sunoo by her side.
They pulled away from each other, their eyes locked. "I love you, Y/N," Sunoo said softly.
"I love you too, Sunoo," Y/N replied, feeling a sense of happiness she hadn't felt in a long time.
As they walked hand in hand, Y/N knew that with Sunoo's love and support, she could get through anything. She had lost her best friend, but she had gained a soulmate. And for that, she was grateful.
