As the golden sun above slowly descended behind the mountains to the east and meeting with the ocean beyond them, it drew its last breath of light with a gorgeous finale. The clouds drifting by reflected a warm goodbye as the sun made its plunge, mimicking the red and orange hues that now cascaded from the fireballs farewell.

Your eyes trained on the coastline, watching as the ripples of water sparkled against the stars now dying rays.

On the tail of fleeting warmth came the chill of night, whistling past your ears bringing a cold reminder of the task at hand. You weren't out here to admire the sunset.

Perched above, atop the roof of a merchant shop, your attention drifted down to the lively streets below, to the most popular bar in Emon, 'The Laughing Lamia.'

It was a Saturday night, nightfall signaled to every citizen with a window that now was the time to let loose and have fun. Dozens of groups travelled in packs, all trying to cram their way through the single door opening of the pub.

With Lamia being the most popular choice of fun within the city it's only obvious that it'll bring in all sorts of people. With a reputation to have the most public disturbances and illegal dealings you decided to stake it out and watch for your target.

Said target being an Elvin citizen by the name of Ivaran, a notorious criminal with a history of conspiracy, treason, and other acts committed against the High Council of Emon. You had picked up word from locals who had experiences with the man that he has been involved in vampiric affairs, going so far to say that he may even be in a partner ship with one. It's not something totally out of the ballpark as alliances between Vampires and other races can happen, though they normally all end in the same way. With the Vampire draining the other for all their worth in blood.

A bitter taste glides over your tongue at the thought of such evil, with a scrunch of your nose you narrow your eyes at the traffic of people below.

It's not everyday that you're able to find someone who's been in contact with a vampire. Most of the time when you hear these rumors you often cast them aside with doubt, people tend to make up wild stories when it's about someone they dislike or find strange. This man however, the rumors appear to be credible as in the past this Elf was reportedly busted for near terrorism as plans to attack Emon with a clan of Vampires, was found in his home of residence. They were simple crude documents and diary entries that were found containing such ideas. He wasn't convicted until the guard found a detailed map of the royal palace with each weak point in defense circled out and labeled with the guards shift schedule, down to the exact minute.

Of course the Elf fled Emon in fear of being captured, there were rumors that he went as far as Whitestone but it seems that after spending some time away he got a little homesick. The locals have apparently spotted the elf lurking around making suspicious dealings at none other than the Lamia bar.

If the bastard has half a brain he'll show his face under the guise of just another bum in the enormous crowd of bar goers tonight.

You pray that nothing will get in the way of you and your little interview(interrogation.)

It's been 2 years since your mothers death, since you first set out on this quest of yours to find your father. The man who whispered sweet nothings to your mother only to leave her for dead the moment you were born. You had never seen the man but stories from your mother always left you thrilled and wanting to know more, understand more. Soon excitement turned to questions and questions turned to resentment the longer you waited for that man to return, but he never would. He was apparently a noble of some kind, at least among the other vampires he was seen as such, which is probably where your disdain for nobles first originated from. Being a noble of course means you have money and power, but where was that when your mother fell ill? She sent letters but they were never answered, still she remained positive. A part of you hated her carefree way of thinking, at some point believing she had been charmed by your father the whole time but you knew deep down it wasn't so.
